Since update dropped I’m having some weird cases of shots that are obviously good but fails to pen for whatever reason, ricochets at flat surfaces that arent angled, shattering of apfsds like 3bm3/3bm4/ 2bm25 against spaced armor or even the M60 Rise ERA that just deletes them on the lower front plate?
I would love to include the hit analysis replay but for whatever reason it’s bugged and doesnt work since the update dropped.
Maybe I’m just unlucky but I usually don’t have these problems with these rounds before the update.

and 27 in two.

I just shot barrel/breech on a somua 50 and got a hit with the conqueror APDS lol…yellow breech and no damage at all.

Yeah this last match I was sitting there with my mouth wide open jaw dropped and just shaking my head repeatedly. I dont understand how the game always goes from working until they update and then its broke again with a lot of things that were working now dont. Unfathomable at this point really. Hope you have better luck.

It’s so random, I ricochetted a 3bm3 over a hullside just over a roadwheel on an xm803 earlier, then bounced top of turret, then bounced ufp unangled, then died to it from a shot in the turret.
The worse thing is I can’t even see the hits back because the fucking hit analysis tool is fucking broken now and doesnt show the hits anymore.
Same thing on my end as well. It doesnt show currently but worked fine last night.

Gaijin usual shenanigans, every damn patch the whole game is broken and needs fixing lol.
You’d think that they’d become better at it with time but nah, between those bugs and the roadmap promises that always fell behind, gets delayed and/or just abandoned, the only thing keeping me playing this is it’s the only game in the genre that offers multiplayer and especially mounse aim for planes.
The minute GHPC releases multiplayer I’m out and if a damn plane game could use mouse aim like in War Thunder I’d play that too.

I’m getting tons of ricochets at top tier compared with a month ago, not just tanks, but IFVs as well (actual ricochets rather than penning with little / no damage due to round not spalling). Its bizarre and probably another random change from Gaijin to F with the game mechanics.
PS - I think these sorts of changes that Gaijin makes are actually intentional (in some cases) and used as another way to create a set of particular vehicles to chase that perform well with the change or just to affect gameplay temporarily (and which they’ll entirely change in a few months or weeks).
On my end the changes happenned with the update.
I have some footage of crazy bounces or shots that pen but where no spalling at all occurs with either HEATFS or APFSDS, like the whole round just magically dissapear once it penned.
On the hit camera you see the round hit, then gray spall touching stuff but not damaging it.
My mate and me played the new -10 degree phonk kong and we had both the same feeling, that HVAP and AP dosnt do shit anymore…(in terms of spalldmg or spall at all)
Heat FS on the british 90 was pretty decent and now I’m having trouble killing a single crew member, doesnt even break breeches anymore, etc…
Idk what they did but for now a bunch of vehicles are just unusable, how the fuck am I gonna kill something with a 9 second reload slow paper wheeled vehicle that has to shoot 3-4 times to get a kill…
FFS even shots at ammo only yellows it.
I’ve had DM33 (105) bounce to the ground against a Merkava Mk.1’s bustle rack. In protection analysis the shot would have killed the tank.

I don’t know that i’ve seen much change at lower levels. My experience was that it affected top tier tanks
Well have a go at russian 100-115mm and british 20 pounder and the conqueror’s 120mm are a joke now, they already were but it’s ridiculous now.
90mm heat was good too now it’s a hit shell the cumulative jet doesnt even go through a crew member to hit what’s behind it.
Still have to test APCR and higher canons, 105mm seems fine in test drive I should try it in a match to see if they tampered with it or not.
My ikv 103 stopped the su 152 aphe shot and he didnt pen me… in the hit analysis my ikv 103 would be overpressured
3BM22 now gets stopped by ERA in test drive apparently but the Conq feels like it spalls more.
the same ERA with 5mm for kinetic energy lol?
This game is a fucking joke.
Yes the bad ERA on the M60 RISE makes 3BM25 lose so much energy that it can’t pen the UFP.
I’m taking that back it still doesn’t produce much spall.
