years back i used to bang with this thing when i was grinding (2018-2019) , now im playing it again and idk if they changed its rounds or what but im only getting “Non-penetration” even hiting plain side of the enemy tank, also tried roof.

The accuracy got nerfed and the damage is hilariously bad.
Soviet 45mm has like 3 times the killing power per shot.
Also the removal of tracer from.50mm M-geschoss (despite the fact 50mm had M-geschoss with tracer mass produced) is just a cherry on top of poop cake.
Overal the plane can work, but the fact one has to penetrate T-34 multiple times to get anywhere… Ehhh
I remember they buffed or fixed the 50mm gun last year it really good use these rounds

It used to have this weird dispersion pattern where the second shot was completely off target.
I think that was changed and the gun become much more consistent with its accuracy.
They did, its like 5x more accurate than it has historically been in WT
How is that a buff? This shell has always had a ton of TNT, what has changed is Gaijin removed the tracer by accident because i their endless wisdom they couldn’t properly read the bug report and never fixed it because who cares, right?

Ok, I get it. Too bad I have no idea where my shells are going, which is kinda important with long range air to air shots. So for me the plane is useless in Air RB, I can’t learn to aim if I have no idea what adjustments to make. And yeah I’m using stealth for MG151/20 but I have like a lifetime of MG151/20 experience, lol.
The accuracy got buffed a lot at the same time the Yak-9K got its APHE
Yeah, a few people mentioned it got buffed. Too bad tracer got removed from HEIT shell and 50mm APHE deals like half of 45mm post pen damage. Does it make sense? Not really
That change happened a while later AFAIK. They removed the HE tracer and lowered it to 6.3 in ARB
The 45mm doesn’t seem to be better but it fights lower BR targets that generally have their crewmembers closer together

45mm deals A LOT more damage post pen.
Just look it up in protection analysis vs same targets. 50mm is lucky to clear a turret. 45mm will kill turret and hull crew pretty reliably with a single shot.
