Did the Apache use AGMs other than the Hellfire?

kinda good enough lol. PARS 3 LR is 7 km capped and i use it at around 4-5 anyway

yeah but that was a at a static target, if they start moving its gonna drop to like 5km, and again that is from 1km altitude at a sea level target, its gonna be much lower if launched from around same alt as target

dw. moving targets dont drain that much speed. its not designed for it but im sure many people will still take the FnF capability over a SALH seeker

I’ve tried launching them from 100m off the ground, you won’t hit targets past 3.5km lol. Mavs are just heavily underperforming on their flight profile, which I guess gaijin refuse to implement the fix that’s been reported.

Where’d you get the AH-64 picture from? The only source about the AH-64 having AGM-65s that I’ve seen is a Raytheon brochure which had a really low quality (same pic).

With how Mavericks are implemented I doubt it’ll be that effective. I’ve tried firing mavericks in the harrier when in hover mode and it doesn’t fly that far. Maybe 6-7km if the target if stationary, probably less if it’s moving.

I won’t be surprised if this will be the first FnF agms US helis get when the LMUR is added.

IDR 1994 iirc

good enough lol. 5 km is standard engagement distance for PARS at moving targets even at 100kmph

again its about 5km from a altitude above target of 1km, I expect that around 50-100m above target which is pretty normal for heli, you will get less than 1km of range

That’s a gross underestimation lol.
The motor can push the thing at least up to 4km

have you tested it then?

because if you had you might realize how terrible that motor is in game, ive had low altitude launches from jets at like 500-600 IAS fail to reach targets around 6km out

I have used the mav and yes it struggles with low speed launches. But no way is it so weak that it plops down at anything less than 4km even with a super low speed launch.
Try with harrier?

I can later, but am not at home rn

It’s a bit difficult to use Mavericks when you’re completely stationary as they tend to dip before they loft. launching them at an angle usually fixes this issue. Even then, I find that they struggle to even stay in the air.

Maybe I’m using it wrong, but this is how I did it

.

Looking at the first shot closely, the reason why it fell that short is because it lost LOS when it dipped

damn… average (sucessfull )engagement distance would appear to be… 1 km.

@Alpharius11348
u were right.
but not exactly.

the mavericks are messed up. the FM seems to be wrong. as well as the guidance logic. they tilt downwards too much and dont retain enough speed at all.

maverick2
yeah they should go much further than they do in game
there is an accepted bug report on their time to target but its been sitting a while so dont expect a fix anytime soon

im gonna hop on now and test low alt range against a moving target

@Armen_Lozone

launched from 150m Ralt on a consistently slow moving target at 3.4km slant range barely hit
launched from 75m Ralt on a consistently slow moving target at 3.3km slant range, was around 300m short

both launched from hover with a slight manual loft

If I’m reading that correctly, the range for a maverick missile launched at 0 knots airspeed and sea level altitude should be a max of ~11km?

That should be proof enough to change the missile’s performance pretty drastically. Wonder if it just has the drag profile of a fridge in game.
