Did Gaijin lie about Volumetric armour? Or is it only for some vehicles?

Was looking into a few tanks to make some bug reports and noticed how Gaijin happens to choose not to model full plate thicknesses on a lot of vehicles but have done on many others.
Might come as no surprise to find that China and USSR have the most consistent modeling of plate and thicknesses.
I have a theory that only select vehicles have a real “volumetric” armour modeling with the rest being an older modeling seen in WOT.
These appear to be actually volumetric armour plates that take up interior space.

These look to be like WOT values simply slapped over a 3d model and do not have Volumetric internal areas.

I don’t see how its possible to have Volumetric armour on vehicles that don’t have volumetric armour gaijin.

Example 2
M3 lee vs T-34
Both tanks are not classified and well documented what tank has the modeled volumetric armour…

I mean you aren’t wrong they probably made these as quickly as possible its a joke sometimes. Like russian thin skirts eating high penn shells. OR NO the is-7 having 1300mm of side armor lol I drove up to it with my turm and started spraying rounds into his side and though huh… why cant I penn … because it FOR SOME REASON has 1000mm of side armor lol .

That 5mm paper thin steel adds between 100-1000mm of armor depending on where you place your shot.

From what i remember, they said they would have it on all new tanks and the older ones will get them over time.

We know their track record with the various other “will add over time” things.

The reason I checked was because the FV107 scimitar a new tank doesn’t have volumetric armour.
