[Development] [RoadMap] Following the Roadmap: Safe Exit Zones for Aircraft in Ground Arcade Battles

While I do not disagree with your point, currently I am grinding as much SL as possible to buy more Travel Suitcases, and an extra 7,000 SL is quite a bit compared to my normal total of ~50k/GAB match 😂 So, I will definitely be attempting to utilize this new mechanic personally.

Will we get SP refunds for Jing out of planes on the runway in GRB? IDK if it has been implemented yet, but it would be nice for when I’m in a fighter and there’s no enemy aircraft.

I play GAB most of the time, I am very happy with any logical and rational change to CAS that improves the game mode (I personally think there is still too much CAS in GAB (too many waves per match), however, I will still advocate for positive changes like this.)

Seems backwards if they would remove the reward.

Not remove, but move. They can make it so that you only get the reward if you exit and not if the timer runs out. which is what i’ve asked them about above.

That’s still making it worse, doing the same thing before and after would result in lower rewards.

oh yes absolutely, i’m just saying that we haven’t got all the info yet so we don’t know how it will work while you are stating things as if they are absolute and will work that way.

I’ve been here for 10 years, assume the worst, hope for the best and the latter was always wrong.

you’ll never be disappointed because you expect the worst and can only ever be pleasantly surprised if something ever exceeds expectations.

Can we also do something about not getting a kill credit for people crashing, ending a fight without no one being rewarded for playing? Why does leaving your plane reward the a player in your vicinity with a kill but crashing does not?

There’s nothing more frustrating then getting on someones six after a few turns only for themt to crash into the ground, by mistake or deliberatly, and you get nothing in return.

I think this change is a good one. This give the Air Player in GAB a reason to (at least try to) save their Plane.

Good improvement. Hope it will reduce the rain of Kamikazes.

But… I was playing SPAA a lot. Not because it is fun… because it is necessary. SPAA is unfair since you trade a valuable vehicle spawn to cheap air-strikes. And because you need to self destruct if no cap is available and you are out of ammunition. Still, plane kills were helpful to get a better score. Many of SPAA kills come from planes that are hit (not destroyed or seriously damaged) and then crash into the ground like Kamikaze. If these aren’t counted anymore, playing a SPAA will be a total waste of time.

You want make a fair deal? Then count damaged planes when they exit and allow SPAA loading ammunition in spawns.

Agreed, and specifically Naval’s, it’s absolutely best spawn system.

Ships do not require Spawn Points, instead you get three (and only three) ship spawns, which means no snowball effect due to both not needing to earn SP and also preventing respawn spam from players with a billion crew slots; everyone gets three, always.

Spawn Points instead exist only for aircraft, and the spawn options are a wonderful blend of Ground AB/RB; you can bring your own planes unlike Ground AB, but can also pick a “random” plane if you don’t have one unlike Ground RB.

I’d love to see Ground AB/RB switch to this, especially bringing your own planes for AB (could still be on a timer, just with actual plane choice).

It isn’t any better in GRB either. Though ideas folks for the Rb side of the community requested were just as bad as some of the ideas suggested for AB.

The Devs have made a good change with this CAS exit feature. Kudos to the Devs, but there is still room for improvement. BTL-Ace has made excellent recommendations which I second. Enemy aircraft spawning over friendly ground spawn has been a pet peeve of mine since I began playing this game. Spawning a bomber and getting shot down by (spawning enemy) fighters within 2-3 seconds of spawning has increased lately and it’s annoying as anything. Changes to these conditions would be easy to make. MAKE EACH SIDE’S AIRCRAFT SPAWN OVER THEIR OWN GROUND SPAWN LOCATIONS. Thanks and carry on.

That good and not. Basically if you use planes u just drop a bomb or rocket and fly away and exit the battlefield with reward. Thats good .
BUT this again a half ready solution.

What about the SPAA-s? Mostly bombers drop bombs from 2-3 km which out autocannon SPAA range. From this SPAA useless because they cannot able to shoot down planes and miss the valuable research points because bombers not circle around the battlefield just they exit…

Or stongly reduced the air targets number, because if planes exits they disappeared and not circle as a BOT plane above the battlefield.

OR SPAA set fire enemy plane or severe damage it and it exit the battlefield… What happend in this case? Kill stolen… enemy plane fire ore severe damaged and when they exit disappeared and no kill and kill reward…

Or when you use fighter and severe damage or set fire enemy fighters/bombers/attackers and they exit u lost kill?.. and what happend when during dog fight enemy or my plane enter exit zone? I lost the target or i lost my plane…

Not to talk, when ally fighter try to intercept enemy plane and they fly into the exit zone and both exit. Ally plane lost a kill? “stolen”.

This idea again sounds great in first case, and implemented while not thinked about negative effects.

What if the plane which exit still fly around a battlefield as a bot and simply not disappeared? …that favor for SPAA-s and improve the implemented solution.

AND

What if to enter exit zone should be activated manually? When enemy and ally run to exit point and exit the plane which activated…and after exit plane not disappeared… thats favor for players again…

So, there is a big problem with this new system. When you get to the safe exit zone and are given 2 or 3 points towards more CAS, you can chain together CAS bombing/missile runs, over, and over, and over. I’ve done it where I was in the air 90% of the match, and completely decimated the other team. It’s more unfair than ever. The only upside that I have noticed is that since most players do try for the exit zones, there is sometimes a slight pause between bombing runs. However, in 10.0+ BR’s, the planes are so fast that it is irrelevant.

The extra CAS spawn points need to be removed, you should not be able to get more points for CAS, by using CAS. It is becoming even more of a non tank game mode than before with those extra CAS points.
