not in this meta where the BVR off option exists (multipathing). the pl-12/a, aim-120a/b, r-77-1 and AAM-4 are all better than the C-5/D.
technical feasibility is a thing, after all. We can use it to argue for.

SPICE 250s exist and we still don’t have the GBU-53s on the Hornet.
That said, the AGM-158 feels like it would be a bit overkill on this, as it is a standoff cruise missile (and available on the Falcon Series Aircraft IIRC). SO I understand them not wanting to add it.

They havent and wont. The addition of the 120D is literally their workaround to buff weaker airframes without making strong ones like the EFT better by buffing all AMRAAMs
