[Development] Buccaneer S.2B: Swashbuckling Sky Pirate

Just ignore the massive difference in flare resistance.

That as well but i think they have less range

Somewhat, the drag buffs did close that gap a lot.

Having to use pave spike instead of TIALD is going to be painful. No thermal and no target lock capabilities 🤢🤢🤢

Sometimes the aim 9l got a pretty good flare resistance and even if you flare it will hit you.

cough cough *Jaguar IS

There are reasons why Sweden is referred as The Greater German in the Chinese Community, they always get some OP stuff that is more advanced than the German one.

It having no guns is irrelevant when it has 2 9Ls that can near-guarantee 2 frags against subsonics that lack CMs. Against supersonics it depends on speed and angle.

And adding another 9L/R60 platform to bully the flareless aircraft BR range just because we already have a few is a damn copout. It isn’t solving the problem it’s only making it worse.

Yet another aircraft with AIM-9Ls to continue in the destruction of the entire 9.0-11.0 BR bracket.
They ruin the fun for flareless jets like the F-86F-2 in downtiers, and are completely and utterly useless when they’re on your team in an uptier.

I’m all for new ground strike jets, but putting these things at a BR where their SELF DEFENSE missiles are more often used as offensive weapons is insane. Put the A-10, AMX, Su-25, and this new Buccaneer at 10.7 or 11.0 where these missiles belong.

You know that not how it would work as they would become useless

They’re both still high performance all-aspect infrared guided missiles and anything with them should be at 10.7/11.0 minimum.

They’re ground attack jets, they’re not fighters and quite frankly strike jets past 8.7/9.0 really need to just have their own gamemode similar to heli PvE.
The fact that we constantly have Su-25s getting ace games is ridiculous. I love the Frog but this isn’t balanced. All-aspect missiles do not belong lower than 10.7 at the lowest.

No they don’t.

Super Étendard is not supersonic on level flight,… so apart if i were starting from higher altitude (with slower Speed → how can i surpass the altitude of Mach+ fighters in the same amount of time?)

Also it is limited in a Dive Mach speed of 1.3.

@somebody_Else : sure it is slightly better than 9L on that side thanks to IRCCM,… yet, i have more trouble flaring out an AIM-9L than a Magic-2,…

So other features such as FoV or other systems are limitng the Magic-2 flare rejection, which is far under the IRL abilities of the seeker.

So either Gaijin Buffs up the Magic-2, either it have same possibility for a 10.7 aircraft which is not mach+ capable in level flight.

So its super sonic

It’s supersonic able in a dive and only in a dive,… it can’t maintain it, nor it can reach it in level fight. (Similar to MiG-17 on that point)

The airframe is capable of holding the speed, but the aircraft can’t reach it without Gravity intervention.

And the Buc A10 su25 amx a6 are all much slower

Yet, they all belong to 11.0 BR, and not the current BS,… F-86’s and other aircrafts unfitted with missiles shouldn’t even see those 9L’s,…

So they all should go up to 11.0 BR as is Super Étendard,… (which is a far less potential plateform, for making money since it have less payload overall)

Also,… speed currently is not a problem → those aircrafts have other advantages.

No they don’t if they had 9Ms then yeah

If they had 9M and similar they would belong to 11.3/11.7

I have played a lot of A-10A late mostly as a CAP fighter in ARB battles, and thus my results speaks for themselves: it is a Dominant aircraft, if not over dominant,…

I’m doing :
171 air Kills
68 Deaths
361 Ground targets
59% Winrate

All of that out of 106 ARB Battles (currently never used it in GRB), and starting in Stock status up to Full up status,…
