[Development] Buccaneer S.2B: Swashbuckling Sky Pirate

No some would be 11.0 and some 11.3 like how some are 10.0 and 10.3

You mean like how the Su-25BM is 11.0?

Meanwhile every other R-73 Su-25 alike(su-25T and Su-39) are at 11.3,…
Not my problem if gaijin forgot every Event vehicules they have made when doing Balance.

Still not change facts that Those Attackers with All-aspect missiles are overly dominant in ARB when used as a fighter (and with a brain Ofc)

@Morvran @Mytho-GR1

Clearly, in an ideal world, sub-sonic jets without flares should not be facing any all-aspect missile. In the current matchmaker that would put them at 10.7 to 11.3. What is needed is a decompression, which is partly coming with the separate BRs for different game modes.

Currently, the A-10s and Su-25s cause compression as far as 8.3, due to the F-104s and MiG-19s being pushed down to 9.3. There is no way you can justify that much compression.

I do agree with the decompression

I agree. But the choice at the moment for the Buc is this

  1. Paveways and TV guided Martels at 9.3/9.7 with Aim-9Gs
  2. Aim-9Ls at 10.3
  3. DOA and unplayable in air modes with 9Gs at 10.3 (especially when you remember, no guns)

it would be so cool to switch to the backseat to guide it

  1. Move all attackers at 10.0 and 10.3 with all-aspect AAMs to 10.7

You mean ground attackers no until their is some decompression

Maybe in June, but do that now and buc because DOA in Ground as we have no 10.7 ground vehicles.

But then 11.3s will need to move up to 11.7 because they don’t stand a chance against PD+SARH and uptiers already do suck at 10.3

If you think uptiers at 10.3 suck, go play 9.3.

Moving these to 10.7 would cause their compression, but reduce the compression from 8.3 to 10.3 drastically.

The Buccaneer S2B would not be DOA if it arrived at 10.7.

Yes it would. Because we have no 10.7 or 11.0 tanks. Add it to the line up of a 10.3, and youd be uptiered to 10.7. no one would use it for GRB, they’d stick with the Jaguar Gr1A at 10.3.

Not seeing no one would use it over the Jaguar GR1A, it is a more potent CAS aircraft.

Because using 10 and 10.3 vehicles at 10.7 would mean you could face the 11.7s that our 11.3s can barely fight.

You’d never do it

I mean it kinda would, it’s subsonic with poor dog fight capability, A TGP with no tracking or thermals, three LGBs, and some TV guided muntions we don’t know the effectiveness yet. Fighter bombers at 10.7 are faster than it. remember, the bucc can only carry 2 limas and has no guns, unless you’re very, very, lucky you are capped at a max of two kills a match. Really the bucc can only be balanced by its ground pounding ability

To what part of my message were you referring to?

@Morvran
Youll manage enough spawnpoints to get into the Buccaneer. Another problem again is the SAMs it will face, though.

@AblativeKitten

TGP with no tracking or thermals

yeah, thats a good point. I imagined that the Buccaneer would use TIALD.

An overall decompression from 8.3 and up is the ultimate solution, but a good start is, still, to increase the BR of the largest compressors.

not dominant Attackers huh? in 9.3-10.3 battles,…

this have to stop,…

Aye, the buccs are a lil early for that iirc, the crews with pavespike (the TGP on the bucc) at about a 50% miss rate, which prompted the TIALD.
We really just need to see how the martels are implemented, there’s a good chance if implemented as IRL they will be the most effective ground strike option in the game flat out. But we’ll see in the devstreams

So… Forced to use L23A1 to defeat Leopard 2A7Vs and T-80BVMs to get enough SP to use the Buc S2B and hope you don’t encounter an Su39 or Pantsirs or something else that will slap you
