The specific versions of the F-4 in the US tree never really made complete sense. they should have alternated between the services with;
The F-110A / F-4B to serve as the basic A2A capable & dumb ordnance, introductory F-4 variant.
The F-4D / early F-4E (Block 45 or earlier) to introduce guided A2G ordnance (LGB / early EO, AGM-62, -65 & GBU-8) and not so great targeting pods (Pave Knife & -Tack).
The F-4J to advanced A2A capability (PD radar, among other changes, like the HMD and better missiles) while still providing a reason to fly the USAF F-4s in Ground modes.
Then the F-4E(Late) (block 48~62) / -4G to bring things to their best possible state for A2G (AGM-65D, AIM-7F, GBU-15 & Anti-Radiation, etc.).
and that still leaves the F-4C & -4S to bring things together as premium / event reward options.
They just fly in a straight line towards the ship from whatever alt you fire them, if you fire at low alt there’s a high chance of them going into terrain, they’re just horribly modeled allround
The AJS is 11.0, this is more likely to be ~10.3, where you also have the A-10s, A-6, and Su-25(K) - adding to the trend of heavy/slow strike aircraft getting all-aspect missiles at a relatively low BR
With the addition of Martel missiles, perhaps Japan could get the Type 80 ASM-1 missile for its F-4EJ Kai and F-1 aircraft? It would greatly improve the ability for Japan to carry out guided air support.
