[Development] Buccaneer S.2B: Swashbuckling Sky Pirate

Martel is a really cool weapon. You don’t lock it on like a Maverick, rather the missile has a camera in the nose and datalinks video back to the aircraft letting the aircrew manually fly the missile.

You can read more about it in my post here

Will it get 30mm ADEN gunpods?

I’m tearing up a little bit with this devblog

I’ve studied the First Gulf War from start to bottom, it’s the conflict i’m most prepared with, and seeing this much focus on the Gulf War while reading this post was really fantastic

And the Desert Pink skin? it’s a historian’s wet dream

It’s a shame that i’m not invested into the British Tech Tree, but after this news I might want to grind it

according to the leaked content, Sweden has obtained the Tiger King and completely replaced Germany

Sweden is the new Carol Baskin

Spoiler

who is he?

Tiger King, aka Joe Exotic

will we be getting anything new in squad vehicles department?

Are the Martels actually going to be able to hit ships or are they going to be left bugged and next to unusable like the Kormoran missiles have been since introduction?

okay, this may be a translation issue. I usually refer to Tiger B/II as Tiger King

Never had them in real life as far as I know

Not a translation issue, originally it was called “Royal Tiger” by british troops who were the first to see them in Normandy 1944. just different names for it with King Tiger being the most common

They should be man in the loop TV guided. They sent video back to the launch aircraft over data link and the crew could then fly the missile from a first person perspective.

No worries, i am only joking. The “Tiger King”/“King Tiger” actually is derived from the ambigous “Königstiger” which is the german name for the bengal tiger.
