Not really, it should be compared to the the MK258 on the VCC-80/30, seeing as the rounds are compatible with the Bushmaster 30mm system, meaning it would be most comparable to that albeit slightly worse as less muzzle velocity being 1,400 m/s. you’re honestly looking at something comparable to the APDS on the Rarden if anything. Also factor in the fact the Puma and the VCC-80/30 haVE a rof of 200 rpm, compared to the Badger’s 60 and and the only thing you can really compare it to is something with the RARDEN like the Fox or Scimmy, with a rof of 80 rpm and again comparable pen until you get to the 60 degree mark and all have more then enough to pen the sides of any mbt they bumble into.

Basically, They seem to want to give the brits some sort of wheelie boy top tier light vehicle. As per the norm they completely forget the actual British options for something worse from SA which is a running theme. The logical choice should have been the Boxer, of which there are 3 different variants they could have added. The Lance, the RCT 30 and the Sampson, all 3 are 30mm cannon systems.

Yep, and one would have given us a FnF ATGM.
Its a shame they dont like adding either actual top tier stuff or British made IFVs. I guess after the Fox, they fear they’ll be too good
all options give the possiblity of spikes, it was one of the requirements. The only real change is the armour profile as well as all have the same puma 30mm, so a rof of 200 rpm, and better pen then the miserable 60rpm the badger is going to get

That is a diffferent catagory, as i just wanted to point out that Gaijin literally overlooked 3, 30mm equipt boxer variants that are directly better then this SA Patria derivitive

So thats 3x 30mm boxer variants, 1x 40mm boxer variant and the Ajax. (all of which could be added with and without ATGMs) But instead went for the notably weaker SA Badger most likely at a BR where we dont really have anything else, so will be forced into uptiers most of the time
The bigger issue is it is straight up not suitible for where they want to place it, the rof is abysmal, and its huge, the only thing it has over the fox is its stabalizer and a few more mm of pen. The fox none ironically is better armoured then this present day IFV XD
If it had some sort of atgm that functioned i could see it working, but your going to be peppering someone with 30mm rounds at a shot a second, then having to awkwardly reload once you have fired 40 shells, as it has a ready rack system similar to the cv90

Yep, its for flank and scout, maybe taking out the odd IFV or SPAA and thats it. Im gunna stick with the Desert Warrior, Scimitar and Stormer HVM in my 10.3/10.7 for scouting I think

Literally an improvement over the desert warrior with a 30mm bushmaster instead of the 25mm.

if you diverge into 40mms its an entire family of warriors, its why i gave up suggesting them, the mod had a half chub for that gun system for about a decade so its got so many variants. The point stands though, the Badger is not a good vehicle, it is not going to belong at the br they put it in at, as in truth with the rof and lack of ATGMS its straught up at best on par with the desert warrior, but for some reason they are earmarking it for end of the line
Yeah, Im very much concerned about that wording. Let alone the fact that would suggest its a higher BR than the TTD, which means rather than being 9.3/9.7 where it would be weak but usable, it might be more like 10.3 which would be outright insane. Though the Desert Warrior is far from stella at 10.0, and they’ve been artificially nerfing the Fox and Scimitar a lot recently, so it would be on track
Aye the turret traverse nerf was pretty drastic, that was one of the most dodgey bug reports i have seen in quite some time, is there anything else i have missed.

They were also planning on nerfing the shells so that rather than being set to IRL specs, it was set to their own calculator, which would have reduced its short range pen by quite a bit, iirc and then finally the fact they are at 8.0, just 0.3 BR lower than the Warrior Milan with stabilizer, TVD and MILANs and with the same gun
Yeah that would have been bad, the rarden is good, the issue is the fox and the weaker scim punish people who dont pay attention, there is a reason it skyrocketed the fox to the moon. Ironically the fox still doesnt have its true top speed of 65mph, even though all my other bug reports for it at launch were implimented
