Yeah rn the f14 is just a worse f15a
The F-14B is getting the AIM-9M’s too 👍
Reply from Smin:
Imagine an F-4 coming face to face with an F-14 it’s also difficult for the F-4 to handle an F-14
The fact that the F-14, equipped with the AIM-9M, is superior to the F-15A is simply because it forces the F-15 to remain on the defensive at all times because f-14 have Fox3
I think this is the point too. They should rework compression BR.
And separate match fox-1 out off fox-3 match.
Facts, top tier needs more seperation so winning is more skill based than seal clubbing
As this is purely a matter of skill, good players can take down a 14.0 with a 13.0. Separation will only make the game easier for less skilled players
I agree too.
I’d love to, but the current BR system is essential to Warthunder’s business modelall we can do is improve and manage to destroy opponents at any BR
While I understand the BR and gameplay arguments, many French players choose the French tech tree because they want to play French-made vehicles and experience France’s military history and industry.
Adding yet another premium aircraft from the Benelux subtree instead of a genuine French design feels disappointing. The issue is not whether the F-16AM is effective or balanced, but that it does not represent what many players expect from the French tree.
For many of us, premium vehicles should also celebrate the nation’s own engineering and aviation heritage. Seeing imported subtree vehicles receive premium status while French aircraft are overlooked feels disrespectful to long-time French tree players who have supported the nation for years.
We are not asking for overpowered vehicles. We are asking for premium content that reflects France and the aircraft that France actually designed, built, and operated.
I agree that taking down a jet 14.0 jet as a 13.0 requires good skill. Im a big subscriber to near peer battling. Taking down people with similar loadouts to you. I still want diversity in who you face but less coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb.
What would you want them to add though? early Rafales and later Mirage 2ks are off the table due to MICAs, earlier Mirage 2000s with only IR + SARH could work but are only at 12.3 (which is a bit of a pain).
Only feasable option I saw proposed is a Mirage F1 with 2x Magic IIs and 2x MICA, but even that would be 13.3 due to MICA.
Not true the f15A has a better fm with a good radar and also has access to aim9m. Aim54 are the easiest fox3 to notch witch is one reason why it could be found at 12.7 and are really only good for people who aren’t aware or paying attention
Does anybody know if with the nerf of the Merkava series, by modeling turret basket, they will finally get armor modeled? The request for this was made and accepted 4 years ago and no progress was made ever since, i wonder if the addition of turret basket model will be followed up with armor model with cascading results on Namers. Merkavas have been neglected for a long time and their unique features are now seen on other tanks, i wonder if they’ll finally receive some attention in this update outside of the nerf of an already weak MBT.
It doesn’t matter you force the F-15 to play defensively because you don’t need to lock onto it, whereas it does simple
If the Puma will have a upgrate can you pleas give 1 to the KF-41 ?
Well not really Id say, whenever I’m in a f15 and an f14, even the iraf is on the offensive I just stay in the notch and he can do nothing, when he gets close enough i just pull in and he can do nothing in the df.
Whenever i see that there is just an f14 left in the game i just immediately know easy win, the plane is just that bad. Even in something without any radar missiles. It is horrendously overtired and the only kills I think you could realistically get with the phoenixes are the newbros in their premiums who don’t know what beeeeeep means.
Of course it can the F-14 isn’t bad in a dogfight, and with the AIM-9M, it’s much better
If both are in a rolling scissors or some slightly neutral position the r15 can just manuever buttons and clip the wings off. I do it all the time.
