The US CAS is 1980s technology Mavericks, lackluster damage model. Atp. out of the big nations, US CAS is the worst.
CAS isn’t limited to Mavericks you know
US CAS pretty much is, unless you think laser guided bombs (not even glide bombs) are better
Glide bombs are underrated, the ljdam 62 er can move on the fly and adjust to a moving target, slinging them and getting kills makes them super effective
ok, and look at what US planes have those on live (heres a hint, there is only 2 in tech tree)
and even the few that are getting them now on dev have significant artificial limitations on how many they can carry
Nowhere in my post do I mention that CAS is purely mavericks. But just comparing fnf ordnance available to other nations, atp. The USA has the worst selection. All nations that have Eurocanards have access to either hammers or spice 250s. The chinese have similar capabilities with the LS-6(IR) bombs. Japan now has the unbeatable KH38MTs, together with Russia. Israel has both the best CAS F15 and F16. Both of them have access to the amazing spice bombs. Sweden, of course, has the feared Grippen E. I would go as far as saying that currently the best CAS plane the USA has is the Superhornet with its SAP-HE mavericks, maverick Ds are just too unreliable. Laser guided weapons beside the Brimstones, are very situational. Again, I want to emphasize that the US is the only nation that doesn’t possess modern fnf weaponary to deal with contemporary threats.
Those platforms are improved a lot by having them on it. The Super Hornet is a lot of fun in GRB. Should be on more and yes without limitations. Imagine slinging them without a limiter on the F-15E, the range would be insane
Oh, that’s good to know it’s weird that it’s listed as a separate item but oh well
Anything that requires post-launch guidance is much harder to use than FnF missiles/bombs, it’s not even close honestly.
FnF Mavs really aren’t viable options in Toptier GRB tbh
The guidance logic is so poor that Mavs easily end up lose track or miss a fast moving target.
Even if it manages to hit, shot may be blocked randomly by MG,front main armour, Track, ERA etc.
hence little damage is delivered.
Plus, being subsonic makes it a easy target for interception.
Dev updated.
Renamed from F-16C PoBIT to CM PoBIT.

Also got a new CDU MFD screen.

Still missing the HSD page and lower weapon stores page.
Also got C-K band for the RWR.

I wonder if they are going to modify the AN/APG-83, currently half of its values just straight up look copy pasted from the APG-79. From what I am reading the theorised performance should be closer to the APG-77 or APG-81, just with less TRM modules.
Pretty sure that the APG-83 is similar to the -80(F-16E / -F), but is thermally limited so can’t get all of its performance.
At least if you trust
I have seen this paper, but I don’t know how accurate it is. For their range detection calculations they used arbitrary values using an AESA radar calculator, yet their points about the cooling capacity of the F16 still stand, together with the possible number of TRMs at 1020 and predicted GaAs efficiency. I am more concerned about the values that were straight up copy-pasted from the APG-79.
Did it get its 360 degree coverage as well?
Nope.
maybe they’re still pending
I did the report on the 360 coverage and adding the K band in the same report so I figured if they added the K band it would have come at the same time
Sometimes they require seperate reports for each feature.
Try to contact with mod to ask if it needs seperate report for it.
