It looks like they just changed the mass, but now the dart loses too much speed at range due to the drag for the 550g one.
I think it will be sorted

If it’s modelled correctly, maybe.
Though 200 RPM isn’t that impressive even if the APFSDS shell gets buffed.
It’s definitely better than the 11.0 Puma, but I think that should be 10.7 to begin with.

I personally think that the current speed loss is not incorrect (also since the mass of the projectile is correct), but the MV is. With 1600m/s of muzzle velocity, we’d get back to the necessary 75mm of pen at 1500m @ 60º with also a better pen at close range going through t55 in the frontal arc

Edit : I didn’t actually check the LO formula, it’s just my guesstimate

I just did my own amateurish pixel measurement here, and got a weight of 277.34g without the fins, tip, and tracer cavity. The full dart could indeed be 340g, while 550g is nearly impossible. Like you said, the 550g figure is likely with the sabot included.

I still hope the performance is corrected, as we have reputable claims for what the dart can do

Overall good changes

Slat armor is now very heavy though

Yes, of course there are good changes and there will be more to come, but the hull penetration of the arrow is a very bad change, while all the documents have shown us armor penetration far exceeding this.

Missile has enough punch, but just like Spike it would be nice if it didn’t behave like some sort of very advanced casino roulette

The fact that they are modelled tells me they are just not ready yet, because tbh i don’t see them making the effort of modelling them to not add them afterwards

Comparing OFLT with 30mmAPFDS and 35mmAPFDS with 35mmAPDS at 1500m-2000m, OFLT seems to be inferior to 35mmAPFDS at 2000m. Even the larger resistance 35mmAPDS and smaller caliber 30mmAPFDS have only a slight gap with OFLT within 2000m. OFLT has weakened from a projectile mass of 550g to 340g, and its resistance does not seem to have been reworked. Now its penetration value can be surpassed by the smaller caliber and lower mass 35mmAPFDS at 2000m

Still the source that claims the 3000mm of concrete just mentions “more than 1000mm” of rha, the 3000mm of concrete doesnt really tells much by itself, does even nato has an standarized concrete penetration test? Because if not, it is pretty much meaningless as you can have concrete of much different densities.

Gaijin has implemented my reports before on concrete penetration, so that isn’t an issue.
