The AH-64D-I Seraph has frequently been seen to carry Spike missiles in media, and there is already a well documented and accepted report from two years ago proving that this vehicle is capable of carrying such armaments.
That report can be found here.
Because of the upcoming addition of the AH-64E to the USA tree with its 16x JAGM-ERs, along with the Mi-28NM in the USSR tree getting 8x LMUR missiles, and the Z-10ME in the Chinese tree getting 12x CM-502KG missiles, I propose that 8x Spike MR, ER, ER2, or NLOS missiles be added to the Israeli AH-64D-I Seraph, in two quad-mounts on the outer pylons.
Im guessing they want to keep the AH-64D in the Israeli tree at the same BR as all the other AH-64Ds and have explicity added FnF to the AH-64E so that it can be a higher BR despite having FnF AGM options.
So im hoping that some of the other nations will get FnF AGM slingers next major. In the form of AH-64E for Japan and Britain and Israel could get an AH-64D late or something with them, leaves them with a 12.0 and they get a second 12.3 with FnF
Japan didnt buy FNF missiles, England can get the AH64 E block 5.5 or 6 with jagms just worse FCS, and israel just needs the D/I to be fully modeled in game.
Gaijin will not be adding NLOS to any helis any time soon, despite AAs getting massive range buffs. The best bet is ER2s, but since there is not a single document of Israel having an ER2 on their helis… not much can be done, despite ER2, ER, and NLOS all being compatible with one another. The point is… You have a heli with FnF. In fact israel was one of the first, if not first, if im not mistaken.
3 nations dont have that much and another 3 are only just now getting something comprable.
I have no real issue with the AH-64D getting FnF. But too claim Israel is somehow behind the curve, when actually being notably ahead of the curve is wierd
The German Tiger has had PARS 3 for several years now (way longer then AH-60), but would you still argue that Germany currently has a strong helicopter simply because it has fire-and-forget capability? PARS missiles deal relatively little damage, similar to Spikes, and Spikes only have about a kilometer more range.
FnF, even those with relatively weak FnF Missiles, still stand a far far better chance of killing a single thing than SAL weapons found on everything else.
Especially given those SAL weapons are just as unrealible at OHKing things. The only nation with a usable non-FNF weapon is the soviets with the Vikhrs.
and if the SAL Weapons are superior to the Spikes. Why do people want the AH-64Di to get FnF instead of its SAL weapons?
