I would like to see some better SL rewards same as in ground rb. You get more Rb in air and more SL in ground so why won’t make it balanced?

Removal of Airfield AAA in ARB

That will just reward no skill AF spawn killing.

What we need is AA at prop BRs that can be dodged if you fly right, rewarding skillfull play, while also protecting vulnerable planes. Another option is to only enable AA when a plane has landed on the AF.

I would like decompression as well, along with larger maps from 12.7 onwards. I would also like some new maps with more terrain for a more natural and less stale gameplay experience.

Mig-21s and 23s, including the chinese/german variants, deserve to be moved up.

Yak-3, Yak-9, and Yak-7 are all hilariously undertiered.

Hunter F.58 is quite oppressive at 9.7

Su-25 at 10.3 is pretty goofy (both faster and has far better missiles than A-10A Early).

P-51D-30 is sad at 5.0 being 1.3 above the C-10 whilst being flat out worse.

Fw 190 F-8 is pretty bad, being same BR as Fw 190 D-9 and Fw 190 A-8, whilst being far heavier.

Why? The Mig-23s are fine and are unable to go higher unless decompression is done. The Mig-21s are mostly fine where they sit currently, too.

9Ls are better, and the A-10 has more countermeasures and I think that it’s more manoeuvrable.

No, because the Mig-29G is 13.0 and it has both R-27ERs and R-73s. I’d rather Gaijin remove the R-27ERs and move it to 12.3, then move it up and make it worse.

I don’t think they should go up until proper decompression is done. The main thing holding them back is their abysmal RWR, and the fact that R-60Ms aren’t the best.

I mostly agree with the rest of your proposals.

The BR changes with weapons changes are assuming first the decompression changes, so almost all other 13.0s already having gone to 13.3. The MiG-29G would also be included in losing R-27Es.

MAPS

13.7+ should mostly be played on Enduring Confrontation maps. I’m tired of playing on tiny maps such as Southwestern City, the other City, Mysterious Valleys, etc. that are either too small or adverse weather conditions (cough, clouds 100 ft above ground) make it nearly impossible to see anything/anyone.

Maps like small Afghanistan, small Vietnam and small Spain are fine imo. The variable terrain make it a good map to use terrain to your advantage in defensive situations.

FLIGHT MODELS

Su-27 got their love (somewhat) with recent flight model buffs. Where is the love for the MiG-29s? The Drakens? Also, I think it’s about time the artificial nerfs to the Gripen’s flight model be rescinded and restored to what it was. If every 13.7 game is going to be an uptier to 14.0 anyway might as well restore it to its nearly original flight model to perform similarly to other eurocanards recently added.

PREMIUM ACCOUNT

  • Increase map bans from 1 to 2. Imagine banning one version of a map and oh no wait nevermind, there’s another version of this map with air spawns.

Matchmaking (MAP ROTATION)

Introduce all EC maps to the Air RB rotation. Preferably starting at 13.0+

Also, return Sinai to the Air RB rotation? Where did my beloved Sinai go? I’m tired of playing the same 3 maps on repeat (Mysterious Valleys, Golan Heights (both normal and air spawns…), City).

GAMEPLAY

My only gripe with gameplay recently - S P O T T I N G.

Level 75 + Ace crew but for some reason I can’t see someone flying within 10 km of me.

RADAR MECHANICS

It’s not really an Air RB-only thing but I really hate that the “automatic switching radar mode” thing implemented way back. It’s annoying. Not only that, but Fox-3 missiles can be fired from IRST but it’s not possible in-game, which is fine (doesn’t help that Gaijin said that would never happen, but alas) but there mus tbe a workaround to the radar instantly switching to IRST and not even trying to switch to normal TRK mode from TRK PD first before losing lock and switching to IRST.

TL;DR: Please Gaijin add a toggle in the settings to enable/disable the automatic switching of radar/IRST mode.

R-60MKs have better off the rail turning which makes them a threat to flareless planes, unlike Aim-9Ls.

Su-25 already has plenty, and the manueverabilty aspect only matters in Su-25 v.s A-10 dogfights.

This argument is terrible. It is true that r-60s pull instantly off the rail, but that doesn’t matter since 99% of planes you face in the a-10 and su-25 are faster than you. Range is mostly what matters when you are playing planes with un dodgeable missiles. A-10 has a ~3.5-4km death zone to flareless planes and the su-25 has a ~1.8-2km death zone (depending on how fast a plane is). Very little of your missiles that you fire will be and a very short range, or a weird angle where the off the performance is needed.

Not true. Since the a-10 is slow and has pretty good turning, it can reverse some bad players or planes.

Might have overstated the range a little bit (I have used aim-9ls but I dont know how big of a difference the launch speed would have since the a-10 is so slow). But the point still stands.

I think 2.5-3.0km is more accurate. 2km for r60 seems accurate though

It seems as if realshatter has neither played with nor against Su-25s and A-10s.

Definitely have played against them, and I have used aim-9ls so I know how they perform. Also it doesn’t matter, aim-9ls are still better missiles than r-60s if I used the a-10 or not.
