Its great for brawling, you get the most fun out of Gripen by using terrain to get in close and then firing around 10-14km, and taking dogfights.
Who knows if Marlin details are ever released it might get Marlin later on to replace the R-Darter.
The issue i have with them is their low acceleration causes them to get chaffed, only time i get kills with them is if the target doesnt chaff.

As of now, I only have problems with the Derby is locking things with TWS, because sometimes it just goes for some random stuff in the air, and i checked, there weren’t any missiles nor chaff. Incase you are wondering, I am using the F-16D Barak.
To me it seams the derby is a perfect mix between the aim120 and r77
Short range performance of the aim120 and the long range performance of the r77 oh wait there is none

One thing is for sure, spading the SA Gripen is torture as the R-Darter has the range of a IR missile.
Get more kills with the AIM-9M
The Rafale and Su-27 have in some invalidated the SA Gripens play style.

Best thing to do is fly low
Turn your Radar off
Avoid the furball and come in later from an aspect they do not expect.
Radar on using the HMD to shoot off Darters while at the same time defending.

I play mostly sim at top tier, so the rat playstyle ain’t easy.
Guess i’ll have a mediocre time for a while
I have no experience of SIM :(
Top tier is pure carnage at a populated server.
Sometimes it’s fun, most of the time its semi-fun suffering
