Depreciation of Performance of War thunder

So this is a general discussion and maybe a request to gaijin

War thunder is a very good game and is still a very good software.

I started playing this game in 2019 it was great I played in an Intel i5 with 8 gb ram ddr3 laptop.

It used to run in 60 fps then and i could not have good textures as no anti aliasing etc.

In 2021 I got a new laptop with ryzen 5 , GTX 1650 and 32 gb ram and SSD.

It was great it would hit 30 fps with movie settings and everything.
I played with low textures but the best anti aliasing SAA etc for smooth gameplay 60 fps and playing ground battle rb or sim in movie is tough.

But recently in the firebird update it changed everything now I am unable to have 60 fps and the game throttles.

I know that the game should update and have good graphics and new effects but it should also have better optimization and fixes.
It’s ok to have ray tracing better reflection and effects.

But for a player based such as me we don’t use those options neither did the game has increased graphical fidelity in the low setting high SAA tier.

It is sad to see software quality decrease despite no big leap in graphical fidelity. As the player based gets affected very badly and the game has a bad reputation. War thunder is still a game with good graphics which can be played on old hardware. It should keep this legacy as it’s very important for player base and revenue.

It’s ok to have a big update in two months but it’s also necessary to have a optimization dedicated update so that bugs and glitches can be fixed and the game can be more optimised.

Such update can done twice a year or once a year.

Turn off SSAA.
Your laptop can only feasible be below 60FPS if you have SSAA on.

I used to run on 60 fps with SAA on and low textures.
It used to run smoothly before the firebirds update.

Something has changed the graphics which is no different but the game now struggles to have 50 fps and throttles.

SSAA renders the game at 4k if you’re running at 1080p.
It’s not a useful anti-aliasing method.

But it gives a smooth image and cause less distance gitter in ground rb which is useful for spotting tanks.

My concern is what caused the game to dip in performance when there was no graphical change in low textures high sampling mode.

So does the other anti-aliasing methods.
Also there have been graphical changes since 2021.

New lighting for both D3D 11 and 12 were added last major for example.

Yes there were updates but no performance hits.

I maintained 60 fps with all sampling methods set to the max with low textures.

I remember in 2019 -20 the game changed engine to dagor 6 which was great volumetric clouds etc this was a huge leap in graphics but this did not affect the performance in a negative way.
