It already is at LRF at 8.3 plus China has 338mm pen type83 apfsds at 8.3
It has DM23 equivelant on the ZTZ59D1
That’s the same shell I was talking about type 83 APDS is APFSDS and they have a vehicle with ITOW at 8.3 and TOW2B at 8.7
At no point is anyone calling it APDS, it is just the chinese version of DM23 APFSDS. : D
Also I you do get the APFSDS on the Type 69 as well which is 8.0 , not as good but can pen the T58 no worries
No I was just clarifying the name of the shell is Type 83 APDS and it’s a APFSDS shell I quite enjoy playing the ZTZ 59D1 because it also gets a sap shell for lighter targets and back shots

The ztz59D1 i do also quite enjoy, makes the 8.3 lineup pretty damn fun! I’ve not used sap often on it though to be fair.
Anyways, how many 8.3s can absolutely slaughter the T58 without worries.

The best thing about this tank is when you die you get to spawn in the GOAT SPAA (WZ305). Love that thing.
not a huge fan of the WZ305 but it’s a nice back up, I tend to go for the Type 69 xd, I slammed a talisman on that little thing
I’m kind of SH with gun AA I don’t have the proxy shells for it yet but for some medium to light vehicles is pretty nice
Yeah, it is a different vehicle with the HE-VT. Without it, you’re just a 7.0 ZSU-57-2 at 8.0.

The primary issue I see people raving about is the T58 stopping rounds shot at it, both of the above contribute nothing to that issue.
Ok and what? You sound aggravated at folks having a slightly varying opinion on the vehicle.
As well as this, the turret traverse can actually contribute to the folks bouncing rounds if the person uses the speed to actively “wiggle” the turret and try to negate some of the folks firing at it blindly.
You are making comments that are irrelevant to the statement I made.
No if you are using the right rounds, as already stated you should be shooting the hull and the turret traversing cannot, in any way, change your ability to penetrate the hull.
To that same end, wiggling wont do anything against slinging HE at it, which is the optimal way to kill it because as long as you hit the lower half of the turret you will overpressure into the hull. The only time you cant is if you are side on and at that point you should be shooting the hull or turret rear.
