Deep Strike: Attack and Defend Important Infrastructure!

What is confusing to me, is the fact that this is literally the same feedback we gave about the SEAD event…

And they changed nothing…?

They even changed the team sizes for the last event, but then gave the original unfair ones for this.
Make it make sense.

Gaijin? Remember feedback?

Dont be silly :P

Real
He wouldn’t be happy unless it was Tornadoes vs like MiG-17s and he could live his bizarre Brit main power fantasy
The F-4E and MiG-21bis are the perfect aircraft for this event/test
Keeping things simple with just a pair of historical counterpart vehicles- one fighter-bomber and one interceptor- allows for the best conditions to test how this model will work for the next world war event.
Adding more aircraft just adds more variables to try to demuddle and forces the devs to sift through “feedback” of “my nation suffers plz buff” for actually useful information about how the asymmetry of event is working.

The strawman

There are posts about f100 and migs right above, yet heavy prop bombers remained unseen

Good thing but why f4

precise estimation on our community

Let’s make this event more interesting, appealing for all and engaging:

  • Let’s also include the event in Arcade mode so that those who don’t want to play Realistic could enjoy it too.

  • Let’s enable markers like optional mode(so there will be 3 modes RB without markers, RB with markers, Arcade) – players are used to markers in the main modes, so why deprive them of such a crucial gameplay feature – information about the situation on the battlefield? After all, we’re in a team battle here, and pilots actively exchange information about detected targets, so lets add them, including markers over anti-aircraft guns and base modules, to clarify which ones have been destroyed and which still need to be destroyed.

  • Let’s move the helicopter spawns, as most of the spawns are so far from the target that the entire battle wouldn’t be enough to reach the base. Combined with the previous point, helicopters will at least understand what to do and what to fight – flying for 10 minutes to get hit by a missile from an invisible Rapier standing under a bush or a sudden Shilka under a mountain is not much fun, and in the current implementation, playing on helicopters is simply not possible(and let’s replace heli with AH-1W with AA missiles and better ATGM).

  • Let’s display the base on the map from the start of the match, to avoid confusing players and keeping them busy searching for it (guessing where the map designer placed it isn’t fun). After all, such missions aren’t carried out without prior reconnaissance of the target to be bombed.

  • Let’s add bombers to the attacking team; the B-66 is perfectly suitable for this purpose—the phantoms can play cover for the bombers and repel interceptor attacks.

So you want to change all the things that make this mode what it is?

People wanted a mode between realistic and sim. Not another arcade.

Ofcourse arcade too should get new modes, but this one isn’t it.

At this point i’m not sure the phantoms could reliably win even without any migs against them.

The spaa bubble around the objective is just way too big and effective.

The bomber part is your only point that’s even slightly reasonable

Why do you think you are the one who should decide what arcade players should get?

Besides that “new bases” were proposed and voted by community that contains players of both type of players.

Same as the Heils in air battles.

I don’t. Just the fact that you suggested to change literally everything about the mode to satisfy arcade players, that it makes it pretty damn obvious.

So how that will affect you in your no marker mode if players will play different one with markers or in Arcade?

Lmao we have played the same modes for 10 years and you think gaijin will make 3 versions of this??

The asymmetry will definitely get complaints from a lot of players. People coming from Air RB and arcade rely on the enemy nametags too much to use their RWR, radar, and situational awareness. The game mode could work but only if players used teamwork and communication instead of flying blindly towards the enemy team. The skillless will suffer immensely. However:

The oil refinery or any large-scale target similar to it would be an excellent addition to Air simulator battles and Helicopter PvE.

  • The target requires specific buildings to be hit
  • The target requires multiple passes to destroy
  • Multiple players would be required to complete the objective
  • Players can’t destroy it by blindly dumping ordinance on the target
  • Anti-Air would need to be destroyed before players can get close
  • Can’t be exploited by zombers and bot accounts (Sim)
  • Smarter players would patrol the target area and intercept attackers and bombers, acting as an additional objective for fighters.(sim)
  • Scout helicopters could use scouting to locate the target or any remaining buildings

Gaijin should enable VOIP for Sim EC. There is no reason not to at this stage. Typing while commanding aircraft is too convoluted already

That or updated radio messages

VOIP for the intercom LARP 😁

huh? as someone with 1700+ kills with the F-4E i think its an incredible dogfighter. yes the mig 21 will win if the players are of equal skill but the phantom is more forgiving since had better energy revention and its more stable at lower speeds compared to the mig.

also you have E2s if your really concerned abt a dogfight

And that will still be too soon.

Really enjoying the gameplay loop, not enjoying the vehicle selection though

Looking forward to seeing what this becomes

Needs a little refinement and gaijins AI SPAAG code is as aweful as it has been for the past few years but if even half of this makes it to ARB/ASB it gunna be awesome
