Decompressing Battle Ratings for Top Aircraft and Accompanying Changes to Stock Weapons

Ah yes, gotta love the air “sumulator” battles…

In addition, the F-4EJ does not have any ground guided weapons. It doesn’t have any advantage over the F-4E, but for some reason it is treated the same as the F-4E.

Sounds good.
I can’t remember EJ’s RWR at this time and would only trust a HUD shot.

@AP_ATIPOYA
Ground battles have their own BR system.

I mean, going from a very easy to dodge to very hard to dodge is a pretty good bump. Together with with way better gimbal limit it makes for a very good upgrade over the E

Idk if the sensor is different but its good enough to ignore flares at close range.

Yeah that doesn’t sound right.

I expect quite a few growing pains with this decompression (or any decompression), so i kinda wish they did it all at once to get the pains and quircks over with

This is a step in right direction. A small step. While these changes make sense as a whole, there are many cases that should be looked upon furhter. In my presonal opinion, we should push the BR cap even furhter, to 14.0. I will also say, that after some tweaks, this changes could be very good in terms of game health and balance. Once they go live id advice close monitoring of affected BRs with these changes as they could evolve in unexpexted ways that would absolutely require manual correction.

bruh AIM-54s are broke af do you even play 11.0 air?

Same 2.5° FoV mate. It’s an upgrade, no question about it. The problem is, at 11.3 (as scheduled, you have 2x9J in an F5A vs 2x9P4+2xPython3 in an F5E at the same br), I would call it only usable. However, the gap is big enough that it can’t be compensated by upgraded aam, that’s my point.

Gaijin, please use this opportunity to also fix the great imbalance that red team suffers in sim. Red plames between 9.7 and 11.7 are all uptiered and they really shouldnt see their br increased. They are inferior to their nato counterparts in almost every way, especially in the avionics department, and it makes it very hard to grind the ru tech tree in particular which then leads to emptier lobbies where there are too many nato players and too few russia players. At least lower all the mig 21, they have terrible avionics, a flight model that is much worse compared to how it used to be and no way to detect most radar locks. Please, dont raise their br.

I honestly believe that it is a good start, but it is not enough, because the arguments you give for doing this decompression only apply with advantage to those who are now below 10.0…

Perhaps, with what you propose, and implementing that, from those BR, the matchmaking only generates battles with vehicles whose BR is 0.7 above and below, it can get closer to a “fair” game mode.

There are cases, for example, that are not understandable, see the Mirage F1CT, which would now be a 12.3, compared to its full air counterparts that remain at 12.0 (Mirage F1C and Mirage F1C-200). The F1CT is, without a doubt, the worst of the three and the one that receives the most BR increase. I hope it’s a mistake.

Another case would be that of the F-5C/A. It is an airplane with mediocre acceleration and raising it from 10.3 to 11.0 is exaggerated (the Thai model can be understood thanks to its pythoon, but the Aim 9E are not worthy of being in that BR).

The planes that today are 12.0 and lack FOX III missiles, now face the 13.0 that do have them. It doesn’t matter if you decompress the BR if you put those same airplanes at 12.7 and raise the top tier to 13.7, they are still facing each other on unequal conditions. Hence, consider the possibility of applying battles only above 0.7 BR (that would be a BIG change in BR decompression).

And as a further measure, you could implement that the Chaff, beyond its aesthetic effect, acts better against radar missiles. I’m not talking about throwing two chaff and that’s it, but if you combine maneuvers + chaff + low-level flight, it should be more than enough to evade a Fox III, for example.

Thank you so much!

Yeah i suspect some planes have been forgotten with this first iteration (like the F-5E with Pythons) . I do hope they do a few revisions to catch most aircraft missed before going live

F1CT have much better RWR than F1-200,which is why its higher. And rn you can throw few chaff and defend and the ARH wont hit you.

Yes, and in practice it had a camera that is modeled and disused in the game and could carry two cannons and in WT it only has one operational… The RWR is not a sufficient reason to raise it that much, in my opinion, obviously.

But that is just an example, the important thing is the proposal to change matchmaking.

Yes, and ej kai is higher than F14A. Maybe if they would give aam3s then maybe or if artificially give it aam4s and pair it with ice (although aam4s are worse aim120s a bit)

Almost missed out on the F8U, yes it should be raised.
I do think that F8E should be raised by another BR though, it is too powerful even in the new 10.7

Also Mirage IIIC/IIICJ

J35XS to 11.3. Guh

imho that would be better and more fair to play. It’s only changes i can talk about, other changes is good or planes i didn’t play

Yeah mirage 3C will be a problem too if it’s to stay. It maybe does not have CM but it does have missile that will slaughter the field

First, it was to make room for the 9.0-10.0 jets. Your plan is to essentially have the 10.0 or above intact (most of them) so I would not necessarily agree upon this.
Secondly I would insist that both F5s are just way too good at their BR, same goes for F8s. They deserve an increase of 0.7.

su-25 and a10 going up in br can create room for mig-15 and f-86 sabres going up in br back to their previous place, also f-104a and c can go up to at least 0.3 in future.
Of course there should be even more decompression above 7.0 br
