no, the biggest change is that Gaijin will be able to cram metric ton of brand new 75-85$ premium planes into the extended BR
new max BR 13.7, so cue in 13.0-13.3 premium planes with fox-3 missiles and no stock grind. TT planes at -1BR will simply be the unlucky bunch of strugglebus vehicles destined to be stomped by new wave of premiums. And possibly extending module grind for TT vehicles at 13.0+ from 300k-ish to 350-400k (+ increases of GE costs for module purchases), just to make module grind that little bit more annoying.
and we’ll probably get rank9 introduced as part of this … add yet another tier difference penalty band, make rank7 premiums less useful, encourage players to shell out 80$+ for new rank8 premiums instead
this is why Gaijin is suddenly so eager to do this change … it’s all about restructuring premium aircraft placement at high BR and make more room for new ones. Any “decompression” will be just side effect, likely to be undone by later vehicle aditions and BR changes.

This sets up a fantastic base for further BR changes. Looks like the 8.7-10.0 range’ll get some breathing room so that the more competitive and oppressive supersonics can go up without facing missile hell. I really look forward to this and the upcoming scheduled BR changes. I do have some issue with the F-14A and B going up by the same increase as their peers as they feel particularly strong with their phoenixes at such a low BR, but hopefully that’ll be addressed in the scheduled changes.
Overall, loving the effort Gaijin’s putting in here.
Top tier is essentially unchanged. If anything top tier needs decompression more than the rest.
Only for F4F ICE, everything is just as bad and it had to be lowered, and now it is being raised to a maximum of 13.0
I’m more interested in 13.0 in ASB. Although it doesn’t hurt to go to the ARB.
At least they are doing something… but please put the damn F-15 up to 13.3 like the rest of the pack, that damn thing shouldnt face phantoms and MiG-23s or any other aircraft of that era

Looking at these changes, the first thought that comes to mind is we should be at 14.0 or 14.3, nothing really changes for aircraft that are currently 11.3 and 12.0, nothing’s really changed! It’s nice some aircraft some have to fight amraams slingers, but guess what? You’re still gonna be stuck suffering in your f16a or mig29 fighting 4th gen fighters with extremely limited countermeasures and weapons, with 0 counterplay to someone throwing a arh at you. Toptier is still hell. And no where near fun.
there are changes, many of the 11.3/0 now will not face many of the old 12.0 or they are atleast a full br over

I propose that Toptier be divided into the following four levels.
12.7-13.7
13.0-13.7
13.3-13.7
13.7only
The 13.7 Br ceiling is nice but alot of these changes make no sense and seem to be genuinely arbitrary.
F-4C to 10.7? why it has no flares, its radar missiles aren’t great and its IRs aren’t that good either.
IF you insist on this then do as multiple people have suggested and make it an F-4D, give it CMs and better weapons and 10.7 would be more than fine. or… just leave it as is at 10.0.
F-104S.ASA to 12.0? Why… just why? it makes no sense there its worse than the Tornado F.3 (Which is only going to 11.7) so why must it be higher? It can and should be 11.3 with the other F-104S.
F-4S/J/FGR.2/FG.1 to 12.0? they should be 11.7 at most but if your going to move them up this high give them all aspect IR missiles at least.
There are many more of these i could critique and as I said before the 13.7 is good and definitely needed but for the love of almighty can gaijin stop balancing off of purely player statistics because several of these changes make it blatantly obvious that’s the only metric for balancing gaijin uses.
Balance and BR changes should be done of off a combination of player statistics, and overall plane performance with a heavy bias towards the latter.
This change is wonderful in concept, Gaijin, but after looking at which planes got what BR changes, I have to ask, why in the world did you raise the BR of a flare-less aircraft like the F-105D? It was already over-BR’d and facing technologically superior planes that entered service well after it. Planes that can be equipped with all-aspect IR guided AAMs that can pull 30 Gs and do Mach 2.5.
We desperately need fair match-ups in WT. In addition to assigning BRs that accurately reflect a vehicle’s combat capabilities, I believe the maximum uptier for MM should be reduced. One full BR point is too much, IMO. Even if it was only reduced to 0.7 or 0.6 BR, it should help alleviate a lot of the frustratingly lopsided engagements players get.
To say nothing about getting a full uptier with a stock vehicle. lol Or even worse still - a full uptier with a stock vehicle and low Crew Skills (we desperately need improvements to Crew XP earnings, too).
Please consider these suggestions, Gaijin. 🙏🫡

The F-fJ(UK) is widely considered the worst F4 premium, so changing its BR to match the F-4S, which is widely considered to be the best F4 premium is an interesting decision.
