The F-14A, which outperforms the F-4EJ kai in all aspects of airframe performance and missile strength, has a lower BR than the F-4EJ kai? Moreover, the F-14B, which is superior to the F-14A, is on the same level as the F-4EJ kai? How can that be?

No, its not just me thinking the N001 wasn’t in use with later J-11As but the fact that multiple sources claim that the J-11A did indeed use the N001VE. We are just going in constant circles so this will be my last reply with you in this thread.

The problem is that we can’t rely on primary sources so most things will be guesses or secondary sources.

Unfortunately its going to 11.3
EJ Kai is able to carry 4 AAM-3. But all planes with IRCCM missiles AND good SARH missiles are at 13.0. But they also have better flight performance (F-16A with 6 AIM-9M, F-15A/J with 4 AIM-9M/AAM-3), so we can try to get “slightly worse” F-15J at 12.7

Yeah that’s the whether or not it’s accurate part I was saying, people doing bad in good vehicles does skew the results in some cases. Also the BR is not solely determined by SL earned otherwise every vehicle at the same BR would have the same SL modifier and they don’t.
just remove the RB24J from the JA-37D and give two stock RB74 please, that thing has suffered enough

Exact same flight model
Exact same loadout
S5 gets 98 countermeasures (50 flares + 48 chaff), S4 gets a combined total of 34 countermeasures

Wow. Thanks for making the higher tiers unplayable and impossible to grind with my current aircraft. F-5C is now unplayable as is the Kfir Canard (not that I was very good in either to begin with). For the F-5C, I might get one gun run in (if I don’t get all-aspected or AMRAMMED first) since the AIM-9E is useless at the higher BR, and the Kfir is now food for everything. For the F-105 I won’t even make it to any ground targets before getting knocked out of the sky at that tier.

I mean all great buuuut, well, please, let japanese F4s (EJ, EDTW) stay at 11.0. For real, those two things are barely any good ATM. Obviously removing things like F14B or F16A from the list of opponents is always a plus but consider not moving it in BR. Or at least (if possible) give it a better selection of better weaponry since it doesn’t have Agile Eagle or good radar.

Balance by statistics was a mistake, what Gaijin still does not understand is that how people do in vehicles is totally divorced from what BR they should be. It’s just not useful to look at how well people are doing in a vehicle, there are no conclusions you can draw from it.
Though I think the latter distinction is incorrect, it’s a wash between the F-14A and B in characteristics, both have significant advantages over the other in different ways so they really ought to be the same BR.
Eh airframe that’s likely slightly superior to EJ Kai, but less missiles, and no real radar missiles.
F-14A lacks:
1- All-aspect pulse doppler radar.
2- AIM-9Ls.
3- Digital RWR.
4- Has 30 less countermeasures over EJ Kai.
F-14A is inferior to EJ Kai in all the places it matters.
War Thunder is not a 1v1 dogfight game.
EJ Kai has superior missiles available to it.
F-14B also lacks an all-aspect pulse doppler radar.
Has nothing to do with balance stats.

Agreed. As well as the fact that the f 15a is also the same br with 9m’s it just makes sense for them to get it considering it also go it irl.

Why is the J-35XS going up from 10.7 to 11.3 for RB? The plane is already quite sad and will be even worse now, all the other 10.7s are only going up to 11.0
