Trust me, I would love to see those annoying things lose their fantasy CMs, but slapping ahistorical mods on everything just ain’t right
currently war thunder is FAR from historical so i’d be cool with giving everyone some neat mods instead of removing them
maybe make it so these mods arent usable in SIM
9.7? You know the J35A is at 9.7 with 4 AIM-9Bs and no CMs at all and the J35D is at 10.3 with fewer missiles than the XS and still no CMs, right?

I apologize, but by what logic do you give out a BR game? F5E(USA) on 11.3 with two aim9j and F5C(USA) on 11.0 with two aim9E, but at the same time Japanese F5E with two aim9P and two python 3 and it is on 11.3

Not gonna lie, I am fine with paper vehicles and omitting modifications for the sake of balance, but I really don’t see the situation getting better by throwing ahistorical mods around.
If a vehicle is lacking something vital it should be placed at a more beneficial BR. This is why we need BR decompression. Most of the planes in that no-flares vs all-aspect missiles bracket could perform very well at their BRs before the sub-sonic all-aspect spam began.
In other words there are two easy solutions:
-
Work on further BR decompression and put the sub-sonic all-aspect flingers at the higher BR, which they deserve based on their armament
-
(probably won’t happen) Restrict planes like the A-10 and Su-25 to rear-aspect missiles

I think the BR expansion is a great attempt, but there seem to be some problems with the planned BR settings.
-F1CT does not have the same strength as M2KC-S5. The F1CT has better RWR compared to the F1C, but at the cost of one 530E missile and a missing gun, it loses its kill chance. The same BR12.0 as F1C is appropriate for F1CT.
-M2KD-R1 does not have the same strength as M2KCS5. M2KD-R1 lacks SARH and 12.0 is reasonable.
-AMX A-1A should have no superiority compared to AMX. The 45G missile possessed by the AMXA-1A has high mobility, but at the cost of it, it only has a range of about 9P, so it cannot be said that it is significantly superior to the 9L possessed by the AMX. AMXA-1A should be the same BR as AMX.
-F-4C does not have CM, and missiles that can be equipped can be avoided without using CM. 10.7 is too high.
-F-5E does not have the same strength as F-5FCU. The performance of the missiles is significantly different. F-5E should be 11.0.
-J35XS lacks RWR and has very little CM. Also, recently the aircraft performance has deteriorated. 11.3 is too expensive. 10.7-11.0 is reasonable.
・F-4J (UK), FG.1, and FGR.2 have Skyflash, which has a shorter range, instead of the 7F that F-4S has. It seems to me that even considering the powerful engine that FG1.FGR2 possesses, it is not as strong. It is estimated that BR is 11.7.
-F-4EJKai does not have the same strength as F-14B. It is estimated that 12.3 is good for F-4EJKai.
-There is a question mark whether Netz is a BR equivalent to F-16ADF. Although the Python 3 is a powerful missile, it is not powerful enough to override the range of the SARH, and the F-16A and F-16ADF are closer in strength to the F-16A. It is assumed that 12.7 is good.
-For the same reason, a higher BR than F-4S does not apply to Kurnass2000. Kurnass2000 lacks SARH. 12.0 is reasonable.
- 13.7 is clearly a wrong setting for J-11A. The J-11A has an older RWR and only one datalink. Also, MAWS isn’t very helpful. 13.3 is reasonable.

Considering they are planning for the F-5A and F-5C to move to 11.0 the F-5E FCU should move up to 11.7 instead of having the F-5E move down to the same BR as the A and C

I overlooked the BR of the F-5C. Considering the relationship with the F-8E and AJ37, I think 10.7 would be appropriate for the F-5C.

Hard disagree there, the F-5C is gonna be fine at 11.0 and the F-5E will be the same at 11.3
You have to keep in mind that neither of them are going to meet anything that they couldn’t be matched against before according to the new BRs

Yeah, they really need to man up and admit that the F-104A and C deserve a higher BR
The Mig-21S should go to 10.0 as most 10.0 will go to 10.3. It is always hilarious to see a 8.7 subsonic aircraft without afterburner (F86, A-4B…etc) chased by a mach 2 capable Mig-21. Basically, the only way to fight back is to make a head on shooting, but it means an easy kill to Mig-21S R-3R SARH missile. It should go up a bit in BR.
