Dealing with spawncampers once and for all

Bro. You don’t get to be a spawncamper if you haven’t learned to handle the best pilots - those who climb at game start.
While you may believe that you can handle anyone in midfield, there’s very strong evidence in your record that that’s not the case.

Again, feel free to contact me in-game for a remedial tutorial. It’s never too late to learn the basics of Arcade Air Combat.

Been there, handled them. They usually can’t handle a single missile to the face. Also, if merely climbing at game start makes you one of the best pilots, then I’m one of the best pilots. I always climb at game start.

The one thing the game desperately needs more of is tutorials, so I agree there.

However as I stated to your trolling partner sh4d0w… (Clarification: You are not trolling, they are.)

As I said, stats aren’t everything. For example, the stats you’re reading are years out of date.

The server doesn’t even have any of my better replays, including any of the matches I played yesterday. I know this to be a fact, since I checked while in-game today.

I haven’t played a match in at least five years. Today was my first time back in the game since before the big boycott was a thing back in 2019. My last replay on the server was several years before that.

I retained all my skills from 2019, but they are a little rusty. I still manage to shoot down a plane or two, usually those who aren’t paying attention. Like all spawncampers.

One solution Gaijin could do, is to move the spawn point if an enemy player enters within X km of it.

Mate, you need to learn to use the search function in the Friends menu. There’s only one sh4d0w, but he’s part of the =C4F= squadron so his name appears as =C4F= sh4d0w.

Maybe go check his stats again?

You’d have to handle that right or campers could abuse the mechanism to force the enemy spawn point further and further away from the battle.

Mate. A number of your most-played planes weren’t introduced before 2020.

Also, are you trying to murder Socrates again? Just because all good pilots climb doesn’t imply that all climbers are good pilots - Logical Fallacy 101.

Hey, you were the one who implied it.

And just because a number of my most-played planes weren’t introduced before that time, doesn’t mean I wasn’t active before that time.

Point is I was playing up until just before the big boycott a couple of years ago. Might not have been as long as I thought - my sense of time is more than a little screwy these days.

It just means my grind got harder in 2020.

I gotta agree with ya here Bungler. I still think my solution is best.

Judge not, before you judge yourself.

Top tier this issue getting worse, just launch aim120 and Mica to the spawnpoint…

Which is why I made my suggestion.

OK, what’s your name in the game?

Where do you find said stats?

I play ARB at 9-11BR and there’s someone trying to spawn kill people on the airfield in 40-50% of the games I play, even with airfield defenses!

It is actually more common than I see spawn camping in AAB at lower BR’s.

Thank you for the defense.

At least they should remove the AF control mode at high BR, land on the af to cap the point is really stupid

Yeah, I’m starting to get this as well. Got fired on by a MiG-29 before the game even started. Two seconds after spawning in, my radar warning receiver in my F-4 started screaming at me: Tracking. Two seconds later: Launch. Less than 15 seconds later: Dead.

Flares and chaff did nothing, I emptied my stores of both trying to decoy the missile that MiG fired at me. Aggressive maneuvering did nothing either.

It was like he had me targeted before I hit the battle button.

Do you realize that spawn camping and spawn killing ISN’T against the game rules? They aren’t going to punish players for not breaking the game rules…

In that case, they are punishing the rest of us by allowing players who don’t have any sense of sportsmanship (such as spawncampers and spawnkillers) to continue to ruin games.

They might as well start allowing aimbots and other such cheats, because they’re just as fun to play with. And all the people they banned for using cheating software should be allowed back in the game. Anything goes.

They changed the ground maps to prevent spawnkilling and spawncamping. They should do the same for air maps.

That isn’t how rules work…
Perhaps it isn’t against the game rules because it isn’t meant to be taken as an unsporting action in this game.

Spawn camp people yourself. Reap the benefits of NOT BREAKING THE RULES. Everyone has the same opportunity to do so, so stop complaining and do it yourself.

I can’t believe you tried to make the argument that NOT BREAKING game rules by spawn killing and camping is the same as BREAKING game rules with actual cheats.
