Data Analysis #3: The arrival of Statshark answers some old questions

Ships don’t just appear out of thin air, same with mechanics as well. Naval got way too much attention in the Leviathans update relative to it’s popularity.

Naval is definitely living off of the success of other modes in this game.

Absolutely - as I’ve said before. I’ve been wargaming over 50 years, and naval has never been as popular as land-based games in any format - figure, board or electronic.

and I doubt it ever will be - comparing the numbers is a pointless exercise - naval has its aficionados, and there will always be fewer of them than for tanks and planes.

That doesn’t stop it being a valid form of gaming, or mean the people who do it should give it up or some such nonsense.

If you want to go down that route what are you playing WT at all since it is so much less popular than various other games?

Is there any way statshark can differentiate player performance based on server? That would be great if they can do so, I’m interested is there any disparity between the server and if better, timezone.

So what the current conclusion within conspiracy theory band? Arcade New aiming killing NRB? Naval doomed? Bruce_R1 no.1 statistic guy?

Where can I find up to date informations on match fairness per br?

like winrate or chance of uptier and/or downtier?

EU server seems to be the one with higher skilled players on average, and the US the one with the lowest skilled from my experience.

From the public chat itself, I think the US server players on average are the youngest

The eastern server is where I find more teamkilling and other similar issues. You chance to get cursed with PMs is much higher too

Chance of uptiers and downtiers, that’s what the op called match fairness
The last version in this channel is from may, probably outdated

There’s been no significant change in that graph other than naval because of decompression. It doesn’t change much month to month.

This website does a good job at showing how Gaijin does not apply its ‘vehicles balanced per stats’ reasoning evenly, and has and obvious preferred nation that we all know with really egregious outliers.

That’s weird, the graph says that 6.0-6.3 is fine but I’ve been getting only uptiers there recently

You get more uptiers just cause there are premium and popular ships on 7.0-7.3 now and people grinding to get tops.

I don’t play naval, only air… which is why it’s weird, the graph says 6.0-6.3 is good

We not in Aipril anymore

Why not show both month if you try to state something, so everyone here could compare?

Because in bruce we trust
Though I’d be glad if there was a way to check month to month, like a website or something.
Statshark has a website but I can’t find anything about uptiers there

Too bad for you. Trust a man who barley play naval, and never been on top tiers. Who stating his theories on unfull information, throwing away data that didn’t suit his conspiracies.

He probably just checked the graphs idk
