Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

Frankly, they need to fix this. Dunno how we’re going to report it, given they seem averse to understanding physics. But something needs to be done.

everyone outside of this thread ive tried explaining its airbrakes to just cant wrap their head around it? i think its a pretty easy thing to understand and implement

So I asked my partner if it made sense, partner’s an engineer but minimal familiarity with aviation stuff, and he got it pretty quickly. I really think it is just people’s insistence on refusing to acknowledge the canards. Pretty frustrating, as it really should not be hard to grasp.

i mean clearly the jet from 2013 with stealth characteristics isnt advanced enough to have an airbrake

Especially since it’s problematic with this tearing speed limit that has been applied… Can we counter this?

According to Gaijin its some kinda alien tech, therefore its not possible.

Speed limit is correct;

i mean clearly, the jet have 3 independent flight control surfaces so 1 can act as an airbrake, impossible

With the high speed and difficulty with speed bleed, it’s really hard to use the air to ground munitions. This is, incredibly pressing to resolve.

yeah you have to pull to lose speed and pray you dont get put into a death spin

How am I supposed to slow down quickly to avoid exceeding the hilariously low 1458kph structural limit?
from my understanding the M1.8 (750knot) max speed is the operational max speed, definitely not the structural limit.

Mach 1.8 is not 750 knots lol

1.05* by what, I don’t understand how you get that results?

M1.8 is 2220 kph

1.05 x 750 knots = 787 knots, rip speed

i always thought it was an intake limitation not structural

Yeah but that’s clearly a mistake when Mach 1.8 is given

it is because you are right

just to be correct the F3R was standardized in 2013?

isn’t it the same problem the legacy hornet had other than the hornet just being slow lol

i dont see why something like being able to deploy flaps at high speeds wouldnt be a way to do it (if they ofc let you deploy them above like 300kts
