F.4.1 gets eight.
From the F4.1 standard, the Rafale can carry 8 Mica or 2 Meteor + 6 Mica or 4 Meteor + 2 Mica
Probably going to be 4 and 4, not 4 meteor 2 mica because they pylons are opened either way.
But that’s speculation for a far future.
Even if it’s not correct in the IRL timeline, I would expect MICA NG before meteor for example
Iris-t or anything?
Looks like the Rafale got Su-27ed, hopefully we can fix that up before the update gets pushed out
Maybe it’s the Eurofighter being so crazy in comparison but the Rafale getting clapped by M2Ks doesn’t feel right
Its going to be like apex predators again, don’t expect fixes. I can already bet it will be one sided
I’m hoping for reverse F-15E but the EF is the star of this update and it doesn’t seem like that will happen
EFT and Rafale should be relatively close, so it getting beaten by m2k is a bit silly, yes.
Lol.
Lmao even.
Gaijin, fixing broken FM between dev server and live update ?
I give them the benefits of the doubt with the Radar being obviously placeholder on both Rafale and EFT. But don’t count on FM fix. It will get Su27’ed and Gaijin will ignore any and all report.
No, the air to air missiles of the Rafale are :
Magic 2 and Mica EM for the F1
Mica EM and IR for F2 to F3.3 (or 3R, I don’t remember)
Mica EM, Mica IR and Meteor for standard above F3.3/R.
Mica EM and IR NG in the future
Strike eagles, Golden eagles, super hornets, vipers all have some sensor fusion, and probably got more with the addition of AESA radar and avionics upgrades over time
These do not have parity with the F-22, F-35, Rafale, Su-57. Perhaps Gripen-E has some parity but it is still inferior.
there are also meteor on F3
Won’t deny that, but sensor fusion won’t be Rafale exclusive either. Iirc US fighter HMD should show friendly, at least for F-16C.
Anyways, do you know the range on the Rafale AESA? It has 838 T/R modules from what I could find, which is half the amount on the F-35’s APG-81, and since the APG-81 is a smaller radar than the 63v3 the 63v3 should outperform it in most aspects.
I have heard that the RBE2 matched the improved RDY radar range (100-130km against “fighter sized target”)? I am unsure if France continues to use 2-3m2 or if they are using 5m2 for such figures. The main improvement in RBE2 is the electronically scanned array providing similar performance in much smaller form factor and with considerably less weight.
If I recall, RDY-2 should have something like 75km TWS track capability against fighter sized targets. They generally use the Mirage III for reference as “fighter sized target” back then.
Thank you for the numbers/estimates.
In that case it seems I was right, in terms of pure range and power the 63v3 is comparable to the 77 so it’ll almost certainly be the better radar in game
Any comment on these reports rafalebros?

First one makes for a really solid case imo. If Gaijin is consistent with what they did in the past, they should accept it.
I saw a bit of defyns dev server stream. Does it really use the same 30mm as the french helicopters? That thing will be almost unusable in gunfights
It uses a related development of the M781 30mm gun, but instead of firing 30x113mm at lower fire rates, it fires 30x150mm at much higher fire rares.
Haven’t gone on dev server yet but it’s likely they just copypasted the Tigre gun over.
