The bug report I made for IRST was instantly blocked because there was not enough data, so we are currently limited to about 15km range. I am currently writing a new one so that the camera is linked to IRST (as it is IRL)
It’s surely placeholder. The issue being we don’t know if it’s RBE2(PESA) or RBE2 AA(AESA) so bug reporting atm for radar is kinda impossible as the radar is not known clearly.
It’s AESA, according to bvvd. I think they initially planned for F3, and then changed to F3R. @WreckingAres283 is the F3R also limited to 6 missiles tops or are there been any trials of a 8 missiles loadout on the F3R in preparation for the F4 ?
I have to say, while for historical accuracy 6 missiles is the best, for gameplay and balance reason we might want to have 2 extra missiles since it’s unlikely MICA would get meaningful buff imo
The core of the issue with the MICA is its instability. It’s a netcode issue that has been present since the ASRAAM. I am not expecting anything to change on that side that would stop the wobbling issue that is destroying the range of the missile.
Also MICA EM is lacking a very speccific table of calculation taht prevents the missile from pulling excessively too soon which leads to lose a lot of energy.
Yeah, so from what I could find the Rafale AESA is lacking in power and range but decent software. Though many other AESA equipped fighters have sensors fusion
