Just tested this out, I thought the R-77 on the Su-30 was pulling crazy turns, but this one is insane haha.

It was never possible to launch throught irst with rafale you could if you switched to radar for 1-2 sec but only eurofighter had this for one or two update with the amram.
Ah, I thought you could, when I tested it on the Su-30 you could literally just lock with HMD IR and launch.
That was a bug and wasnt intended (even though the aircraft can do it IRL) and so was probably patched this update
If you’re basing it on drag math, then quick off the top of your head tell me the Oswalds efficiency number you’d see from a full delta wing vs a non-delta wing design. (Here’s a hint, its not that bad).

Complaining that Rafale has overperforming STR and justifying the nerf with “oh well its a delta” is just ignoring how the Gripen and Eurofighter also have insane STR with delta wings (and in the case of the Gripen, both use close coupled canards).

Delta wings do suffer somewhat, yes, as they do have a fairly confined aspect ratio of their wing. However compared to other modern fighters its not particularly bad. We actually see wings with very high taper ratios (such as full delta wings have) to gain back a measure of lost performance from their aspect ratio. With most of the efficiency lost being from their leading edge angle, which while true that delta wings do generally have sharper, most modern jet fighters are still around 40 degrees+ anyways, so its actually no losing too much efficiency from it

It’s not the 50s anymore.
Eurofighter for example is designed to hold Mach 1 at 9G for as long as the pilot is willing to take it.
Perhaps not quite at sea level but this is War Thunder we are talking about.

what is your point?
If the rafale in the vid was a different version than the one ingame then the bug report shouldnt have been accepted in the first place.
If the rafale in the vid is the same version as the one ingame then the bug report ignored the fact that the rafale was flying on low fuel to pull those numbers.
In either case that previous bug report that improved the rafales performance based on incorrect stats should have never been accepted.

Well tbf, the Rafale M was used as a basis for reporting Rafale Supercruise speed, as long I can remember, almost all Rafale C variant are identical in weight (And Rafale C to Rafale M only have slight differences, probably like between Phantom FG.1 and FGR.2 ), but hey I could be wrong.
Something that some may not have noticed or didn’t think was important with today’s update. They buffed the high-contrast TV quality.
This would be nice for the Rafale’s FSO since it was reported a few days ago that the Rafale’s FSO uses high-contrast image like what is shown on Mavericks, AASM, and etc currently in-game.
You can see here how much better the quality is now with the new update today of TV camera views on weapons like KH-38MT, Mavericks, AASM.
