Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

allegedly the m2k should also only be able to carry 6 micas aswell due to it having some avionics restrictions

I don’t know, man, my knowledge of the two jets is pretty surface level, but from what I know, both have a similar aerodynamic configuration, while the EFT has a noticeable advantage in T/W. If they both fly like the J-10, but the EFT has an advantage in thrust, I think it would be a pretty big advantage.
Sure, the pilot is often the deciding factor, but if we are comparing flight performance, we should assume both pilots are on a similar level (barring any FM differences that are too small to make a noticeable advantage).

I wonder if there is any data on the EFT and the Rafale, like EM charts, or is Gaijin going to guesstimate them like the Gripen

J10 is dogshit compared to EFT or Rafale only the J10C which has a TVC engine kinda compares with Typhoon/Rafale performancces LMAO

There is. It’s just that most data is between the hand of people that don’t share them because some data is okay to use and some other is not. Of course for reports only data that are okay to use will be used but there is more than enough to make Typhoon and EFT the best FM of the game so far

Did not know that. You are right, it was an oversimplification. I was going off of them both initiating from the same program with similar objective (even if the programs had to split, eventually). If the Rafale really is better optimized for dogfighting speeds (barring engine performance), then I think you are right.

Are you referring to that “leaked” EFT manual?
What about the Rafale, any EM charts floating around?

No not at all.

Idk but i had confirmation that the people who will handle any potential Rafale FM problems have more than enough usable and not classified data to rectify any crap gaijin could make.

Yeah… untill gaijin pulls up russian sources originating from god know where and are absurdly wrong… like in most cases they actually used them for FMs or any other things for western vehicles.

Yes and no, even C had amazing integration of UI that made it easier to operate whole plane as one weapon system, it kicked ass on red flags, beating F-16s even in 1v5 and even F15Cs, shooting down 2 and forcing 3rd to run.
In WT, gripen is gimped by lack of system simulation and information presented to you. E is a beast that will suffer from same problems as Rafale will… 90% of its features wont be present and will be reduced to upengined 39C with better engine and radar, which will miss tons of features too, i dont believe we will get real AESA with all its bells and whisles esp in tracking multiple targets.
What rafale will be is 2000-5 with 2 less missiles (most likely), somewhat better radar but due to having gimped mica, not like it matters, RDY is already good and better flight performance. Atleast its cool plane as hell.

I know

Sometimes you should think before writing because the current FM of the M2K for example comes from a bug report made with western sources and it made M2K into one of the best airframes of the game.
Also most of the time when FM changes bug reports are made and backed up by the right sources gaijin will actually correct the FM error most if the time but ofc when the FM changes is about a premium plane Gaijin might decide to say “F you” because ofc if you ruin a premium plane you remove a way of making money lol

where exactly did i specified M2000??? NOWHERE… i said most, not all… maybe sometimes you should read and think before writing.

And by saying most you are wrong anyway because it’s quite the opposite. Most FM changes are not questionned by gaijin except when the sources the reporter offers seems weird or as i said when the Fm report is about an airframe that serves as a premium plane.

That isn’t completely true, one of the major resources utilized to model the new FM are from Taiwanese data.

Even then, still remains in accordance with the fact gaijin don’t go “My russian sources are better than whatever your sources are” 99% of the time. They do it yes but as more sources get available to public gaijin can less and less refuse reports by pulling their bad made sources. Only cases where they are inflexible is when you wanna touch(nerf) premium planes or planes that a part of the devteam likes, like the Gripen for example that even tho it’s been mostly fixed still has a part of enhancement to it’s performances iirc. But most aircrafts are a bit enhanced ccompard to reality so i won’t complain about the state of Gripen they fixed it a bit anyway.

Hi! I was wondering if I could ask you a question.

In the description above, you said that the F4 has MICA 8 rounds, but in the picture in the article from 2017, it is centered.

The photo in the article from 2016 is also centered.

That’s not true, they went with tertiary Russian sources for F-5A/C/ and F-20A flight model data over the actual NATOPS. Nothing in the game is going to be accurate going forward, it’s all just made up.

not sure what you mean by “centered” but Rafale F4 wasn’t really a thing back in 2016

F4’s max AA configuration is 2x Meteors + 6x MICAs, like this :
Rafale-F4-PO-8-missiles-air-air

From my understanding, it can also carry 4x Meteors + 2x MICAs, but i can’t really confirm, so take it with a pinch of salt

I don’t really understand why it can have 2 Meteors plus 6 MICAs but only 4 Meteors + 2 MICAs. I don’t think there is any limitation to the wiring nor to the hard points themselves. I think, going gaijin’s way of, if it’s technically possible, then it’s in game, we might see in the far future a configuration of 4x4 MICA Meteor

Under-fuselage hardpoints are part of the basic hardpoints for F1 to F3 versions, F4 version adds under-wing hardpoints
