The problem is that there are mountable models of the plane with a carry of 10 missiles, so people who only look at the images on the internet see this and think that it’s a real carry.
The funniest thing I saw today was a guy who announced that there is a double rack of Mica as a carry under the wings
The problem is that the majority of people see these videos and believe them and will come and claim wrong things
The only “Rafale” with MICAs on its belly was the Rafale A, which on the one hand, like the EAP, is a demonstration and aerodynamic test aircraft with only the avionics necessary to fly, and on the other hand, has a completely different airframe (apart from the visual appearance for 90% of people) than all production versions and even pre-production prototypes, i.e. Rafale A cannot be compared / taken as “source” for any of the other Rafale as these are simply not the same in any form other than general appearance.
Yeah but Wt CC that doesn’t take real interest in vehicles don’t care they see 2 pictures and go thinking “Muh this magic shit i immagined must be possible”
Reduced IR signature doesn’t mean impossible for a missile to lock especially when most IR locks occur at less than 2kms where reduced IR signature doesn’t matter. Reduced IR signature is mostly usefull to escape IRST system not missile seekers.
In any way people that expected IR and Radar stealth to be real and not nerfed were versed in illusions from the begining Gaijin always nerfs new techs. Also what is decent distance for you?
LMAO. That is a normal distance jet egines produce like 600°C-800°C of heat and materials planes are made of conduct heat to a certain extent ofc at 10kms you’d be detected on stealth planes IR signature is more important than RCS anyway. And just so you know below 20kms of distance from a Radar or IRST stealth planes are actually not so stealthy anymore. Anyway this topic is about Rafale not IR or Radar stealth.
In any way IR and Radar stealth have close to no chances to come to the Rafale right when introduced as it has advanced loadouts and not like… 2 bombs.
fair enough, it is the only aircraft in game that has both radar and IR stealth so logically itd be the one to discuss when talking about implementation of both types of stealth ingame
Actually Gaijin could bring it to 8 as the first testing of the missile stations that allowed F4.1 to have 8 missiles began on F3 so even if gaijin doesn’t give it default you can get them to add them. Someone is already planning to report this if gaijin give only 6 missiles to Rafale.
