I understand that reasoning, but DASS isn’t a typical radar. Due to its design and the nature of how it operates, it doesn’t emit nearly as focused a beam as conventional fighter radars. Take the rear coverage as an example it’s a very large area monitored by a relatively small antenna, meaning it would lose intensity drastically faster over distance. Given this, I highly doubt a 15 km detection range is realistic. Hell if my napkin math is correct, the back antena would be at 0.0044x of its original intesity at 15km.
I would even argue it would make more sense to look at APS radars rather than traditional radars used for SPAA or planes. Seeing as their usecase and numbers would be a lot closer to what DASS does than a normal radar.
Focused beams reduces chances of emission detection, it’s the other way around hence why AESA radars IRL have a lower chance of having their emissions detected.
Im well aware of that, but i still doubt that they are nearly as focused as normal radars. If the entire point of your earlier source was high atmospheric absorption i would doubt the beam is focused the same way traditional radars are. Otherwise i wouldnt understand what they meant with “advantage is that radars at these frequencies cannot be tracked from significant distances”.
Played em all eh? I genuinely don’t think this addition is worth the effort. Like I said earlier, considering how negligible the detection range would realistically be, it just doesn’t seem useful. I’d much rather Gaijin prioritise fixing current issues over this. Regardless this is getting off-topic.
Last note: If I wanted to grind Top Tier, I certainly wouldn’t do it on a console account. I’m not a masochist :) (Who am I kidding, I play Warthunder)
Okay?
This means what?
That Console player are automatic worse because its an Console account?
(You are aware that people could also use there Console account and play on PC…)
Here, I am an Console Player and have them pretty much all… (Just would need to purchase them)
Certainly not. I just meant if I wanted to get multiple Top Tier Air Trees in Warthunder, I’d much rather do it on my PC account. This account is mainly for mindless grinding/custom battles. And of course, engaging with the community.
So you are confirming that you are breaking the TOS/EULA? Interesting xD
Just Kidding…
But on the topic of the endless who is better fight here Rafael or Eurofighter…
From the outside it looks like the (Console war) which one is better… PS or Xbox… and even from the inside, its still an useless fight…
MAWS Speed-gate inclusion (Filters out flares and false missiles)
K-band addition to SPECTRA
Supercruise buff (reduced drag on airframe)
RWR range buffed from 70km to 100km
Missile lead indicator
So about 13 fixes in total.
Now here’s something to wonder about, what do you guys think is going to be fixed in the next coming months up to the June patch with all the other remaining open reports? This poll does not have the complete list of all the reports.
@Drag0oon had a constructive argument, just for you to sweep in to behave like a child,
even Mulatu_Astatke kept silent until you started behaving like a nine year old, but what do i expect from the WT forums
As for the whole part concerning data fusion (RWR radar link and during with the RWR only ), I’m afraid that it will happen in a long time or even never.
With how gaijin really slowly add little features there and there i believe and how they still think that mica with it’s true range would be too much i believe we will mostly see fly model change or really little qol minus the big stuff with launch of anything from the rwr which would eventually happen when at this point there would be 5th gen plane.
So as long as it doesn’t give to the rafale the edge over other planes it won’t happen.
Otherwise i’m still waiting for mica to get it’s directional splinter warhead as it would increase by a lot his kills, sometimes it does barely any damage, and compared to an aim120 close to the ground 99% of the time you won’t receive any damage from it.
