Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

Well, fair. I think they both opened a can of worms the devs weren’t expecting.

They should just go to a BR where they can’t bully other planes if it’s that much of an issue. I wouldn’t know, I don’t touch air.

Played em all eh? I genuinely don’t think this addition is worth the effort. Like I said earlier, considering how negligible the detection range would realistically be, it just doesn’t seem useful. I’d much rather Gaijin prioritise fixing current issues over this. Regardless this is getting off-topic.

Fair.

Last note: If I wanted to grind Top Tier, I certainly wouldn’t do it on a console account. I’m not a masochist :) (Who am I kidding, I play Warthunder)

TRUE, first aesa should have been F-2A (yes this is cope)

Okay?
This means what?
That Console player are automatic worse because its an Console account?
(You are aware that people could also use there Console account and play on PC…)
Here, I am an Console Player and have them pretty much all… (Just would need to purchase them)

Certainly not. I just meant if I wanted to get multiple Top Tier Air Trees in Warthunder, I’d much rather do it on my PC account. This account is mainly for mindless grinding/custom battles. And of course, engaging with the community.

So you are confirming that you are breaking the TOS/EULA? Interesting xD
Just Kidding…

But on the topic of the endless who is better fight here Rafael or Eurofighter…
From the outside it looks like the (Console war) which one is better… PS or Xbox… and even from the inside, its still an useless fight…

  • Model fixes to the IRST/TV sensors
  • Radar tracking targets in all directions
  • Radar/IRST properly slaves TV sensor
  • Mach 2 speed limit
  • TV camera laser range increased to 30km
  • MICA-EM lowered beam-width
  • Countermeasure sensor fusion
  • Cobra button
  • MAWS Speed-gate inclusion (Filters out flares and false missiles)
  • K-band addition to SPECTRA
  • Supercruise buff (reduced drag on airframe)
  • RWR range buffed from 70km to 100km
  • Missile lead indicator

So about 13 fixes in total.

Now here’s something to wonder about, what do you guys think is going to be fixed in the next coming months up to the June patch with all the other remaining open reports? This poll does not have the complete list of all the reports.

  • Radar range buff
  • IRST/TV guiding MICA EM
  • Firing MICA EM using RWR
  • IRST having active ranging
  • DDM-NG range buffed
  • Radar+TV making notching impossible
  • Rafale stall performance buff
  • SPECTRA RWR feeding information to radar
  • Reduced radar signature
  • Reduced infrared signature

@Drag0oon had a constructive argument, just for you to sweep in to behave like a child,
even Mulatu_Astatke kept silent until you started behaving like a nine year old, but what do i expect from the WT forums

As for the whole part concerning data fusion (RWR radar link and during with the RWR only ), I’m afraid that it will happen in a long time or even never.

With how gaijin really slowly add little features there and there i believe and how they still think that mica with it’s true range would be too much i believe we will mostly see fly model change or really little qol minus the big stuff with launch of anything from the rwr which would eventually happen when at this point there would be 5th gen plane.

So as long as it doesn’t give to the rafale the edge over other planes it won’t happen.

Otherwise i’m still waiting for mica to get it’s directional splinter warhead as it would increase by a lot his kills, sometimes it does barely any damage, and compared to an aim120 close to the ground 99% of the time you won’t receive any damage from it.

It’s settled. We moved on.

The Rafale was already arguably the best plane in-game, and its only competitor from last update got a buff (MAWS) and a nerf (FM), along with a fix to its radar that might make it less of an outright liability in the only flight regime where it might still beat the Rafale (very long range BVR), while the Rafale got a laundry list of buffs at literally no cost.

How you guys manage to continue to spin yourselves as the victims is beyond me at this point. With how preferred the Rafale seems to be when it comes to bug fix attention from the devs, I wouldn’t be surprised if every one of the additional bug fixes Direct_Support mentioned will be fixed in the next 1-2 major updates at this rate. I have never in the history of this game seen a vehicle that gets bug fixed at the speed the Rafale has been getting.

Thanks

Was the radar not tracking in every direction?

So there’s no improvement with the scanning speed of the radar?

Means the radar now continues to update targets outside of its search cone, so it’ll keep updating targets within the full 140x140 deg zone the radar can cover even if its only scanning 70x16 for example.

You might have to go over and start reporting the Eurofighter. They seem to be struggling with making reports :P

Eh, I would say everything which coukd be reported is reported…
We have currently ~50 reports which are Accepted/Suggestions

I meant that launching mica missile and asm hammer from rwr would yeah make it crazy op and would only happen if similar planes could get such features and as far as i get eurofighter doesn’t have it or i did not see it talked about at all and we would wait more on something like f35.

I’m not against the current balance, no need to assume things, i’m still waiting for everyone to get competitive spaa with the current cas there is…

50 km range MAWS lol. Could probably have a quick snack and still have time left to defeat the missile

I think guiding MICA-EM with IRST is already in the game. When I lost radar lock and radar automatically switched to the IRST, my MICA was still guiding based on datalink and relocked the target on its own thanks to the speed and distance provided by the datalink (even though it switched to IRST). However this was at rather close range and I only have idea about it because I held “U” key for checking if MICA-EM is guiding or not.
