its not bugged anymore but it has less range then the SU34 and scans a lot slower.
Yeah… That scan speed is meme.
I hoped they would fix this too.
They will never change that sadly because Dassault limited the air speed, sadly gaijin take this as it is and it literally break it wings, while it obvious that Rafale could go higher without structural damage
Tbh low speed turns are very important for Rafale right now, since it has a similar playstyle to the Mirage 2K5F due to the short range and high G of MICA EMs : pull people into a turn fight and slap a MICA at them all while flying low.
I get 3-5 kills average when I do that in the Mirage. But when I try to move fast and try to clash with people in high speed fights, I usually end up dying to a stray AIM-120
Why would Dassault limit the airspeed?
RAM coating
Speaking of RAM coating, does the Rafale have reduced RCS in the game right now ?
Did they even model the low RCS of the Rafale?
If it does, it doesn’t matter in sense of ranges in wt. Ive been shot at at 60km.
But like, is it as effective as its irl counterpart rn or nah ?
It should be the 4.5 gen jet with the lowest RCS, Dassault worked to make it “discreet”, mainly with the form of the air intake, where the compressor blades shouldn’t be visible by a radar
The game is no where near able to make good low RCS for planes rn anyways
yes, and if you bleed all your speed doing that you won’t get very far, the rafale is able to turn hard while keeping it’s speed up unlike the mirage 2K5F. stay above mach 1 and you won’t have any problems
P sure Gripen E would have the lowest RCS if added. Besides Rafale/EFT/Gripen low RCS features would be noticeable only in front aspect where RCS is generally the smallest.
Modern radars are simply too strong for these low RCS features to make effect especially at ranges we fight in game.
RAM coating on the Rafale tho ?
please make the range from the rafale radar and the speed also the tws does not scan almost anything the mirage 2000-5f has a better radar in scan :)
Gripen E doesn’t have stealth features? SAAB didn’t really bother with it on account of the rate of radar advances and the cost of development/maintenance. Gripen E carries a very potent EW suite though to jam most systems tracking it, but that still isn’t exactly a reduced RCS.
SAAB didnt bother with low RCS but they just happened to make a low RCS design. Airframe itself being small also helps.
Yeah, but it doesn’t beat out Rafale’s reduction measures, from what I’ve read. Possibly if Rafale is laden it comes out very similar, but I am not entirely informed on that aspect. But it also doesn’t really matter all too much in the long run, as both platforms benefit far more from their ECM suites than any low observability/reduced RCS aspects.
It probably depends on view aspects since stealth isnt some fixed value but from the front JAS39 is probably smaller on radar than Rafale or EFT.
ECM is another huge factor but we gotta wait quite some time for that I think.
