here is a video, where a guy launches jdam at around 25km
If you set the POI and don’t touche it, basically what the new map allows you can fire the AASM at well above 30km. GPS ammunitions are about to get a lot more dangerous.
[DEV] Rafale is underperforming in Sustained Turn Rate

holy shit that got accepted fast, 8 minutes??? that must be a world record
also i have a question about the rafale ofs and the ir/gps ver of aasm
since rafale has ofs built in, do we still need to take the damocles when we equip the ir/gps or just gps versions of AASM?
In theory no.
Technically the OFS even has a laser for distance detection and could perhaps guide the AASM Laser (unfortunately the visibility sector would prevent precise aiming)
Yoo need to know who to talk to lol
What is the full name for this helmet? For some reason i cant remember it.
thats awesome! o7
hmm, mayhaps it should be reported or smth? or atleast tested by people who actually have rafale and aasm unlocked.
lmao
they said it would get magic II’s but then said it only gets ARH like 2 sentences later
its a scorpion HMD on a LA-100 as far as i am aware, the LA-100 has been the standard for a while for both the Rafale and Mirage 2000
I’ll report on this in the evening if you want (I don’t have the AASM but internet sources and a bit of common sense should suffice)
im gonna search for a CC on dev and ask them if they can test it for me, and if it turns out you cant i will make the report myself and send it here, thanks tho

Well i did guys, let me know if i made any mistake.
You can currently launch the IR and GPS ones without targeting pod. Just a bit buggy atm tho.
You really think they’ll give it an original helmet? Lol
Would be awesome if they did but I lowkey doubt.
we can’t even get an airbrake lol…
Why not? I made a bug report about F20’s missing modern pilot model and they actually changed it with this uptade.
I have high hopes we can actually recieve it.
it was passed in november that france will get a unique pilot model, so it actually very likely. i kinda understand why they are kinda iffy on the airbrake since there is no real documented on information on what FCS do what.
