So about a week ago I had submitted a report for the recently introduced Derby-ER missile showing that it was underperforming which you can find here: Derby-ER underperforming in kinetic range // Gaijin.net // Issues
The source used was this from the manufacturer of Derby-ER. As you can see, it has about 39km surface to air range:

What’s interesting is that the Derby-ER is now fixed on dev-server, and testing was done with it in air to air situations, showing that it outranges the AIM-120D, video thanks to @serasа
The Derby-ER now outranges the AIM-120D and likely shares similar range to the AIM-120D-3, while having significantly more maneuverability and utilizes dual-pulse motor for increased endgame speed.
Similarly, the MICA NG EM should further outrange the Derby-ER while utilizing thrust-vectoring and dual-pulse motor. The MICA NG EM should also utilize an AESA seeker.

The Mica NG being far more advanced to the Aim120D claim is making more and more sense.
Surprising how much the dual pulse increases the range as well.
It’s great to see the Derby missile recently get fixed through a report I had written and get a buff to its range, but MICA is still underperforming in comparison to it using primary source materials. This report is also written to give developers more datapoints to compare with in addition to some of the other reports.
Disparity in performance between MICA and Derby missiles // Gaijin.net // Issues
Thanks to @serasа for his videos.
Outranges other missiles, has better time-to-kill, better maneuverability, AESA seeker, dual pulse motor for better endgame scenarios.
I could imagine MICA NG IR having just a bit less range than AIM-120C (currently as AIM-120C is implemented).
Now imagine ramjets which will have that boost just on for like a minute instead of only like 3 seconds.
Gonna be insane
If anyone is bored and would like to read a British test pilot’s account of the Rafale, I will have it here in multiple pages:

Anything for that sweet dassault check
He says the Rafale is optimized for low level and can only stick with an EFT up to 20,000ft, so is it over performing at altitude?
He also calls the legacy hornet superb for WVR alongside the eurofighter
The context was WVR dogfight, which the EFT does beat the Rafale handedly at altitude
But the EFT also beats the Rafale at low altitude in-game too despite him stating…
But part of it may be that Gaijin doesn’t currently model AOA limitations for a lot of aircraft, and the Rafale is also missing lift performance:

Apparently there’s an interview where a Hornet pilot stated the Rafale was one of the few aircraft besides the F-22 to hang with it at low speeds but I asked if he had link to the interview and he couldn’t find it:

He said that after going over WVR
Ah then yeah he probably means that it doesn’t have the engine power to keep up with something like the Eurofighter.
with a lower thrust, depending on what the throttle is set at
It’s pretty good. The camo pattern made me look twice from my little screen as it reminded me the gripen camouflage schemes (but desert hues instead of their usual blue hues)
researchable or just paywall?
