This is more like me saying that the F-22 should have a sustained turn rate of 28 degrees per second at 20,000 feet because that has been publicly claimed and that the USA always understates the capabilities of the plane.
Also other nations do have 4th gen planes that are as capable as Rafale. IRL it is nothing special.
Lmao, this is hard coping, other nations doesnt have similiar capable planes compare to Rafale and EFT in terms of flight performance or armament, thats why US has 5th gen while Russia still struggles to produce proper 5th gen planes.
Only jet that comes to close Rafale and EFT is the Gripen E in terms of overall capability, saying Rafale is not special is hard coping.
Seems like you cant accept the fact that European countries can produce better jets than US or Russia when it comes to 4.5th Gen.
Setting aside his use of a separate missile - which I think doesn’t matter - the fact that 2 sources state this, and that they come from MBDA directly, is sufficient enough to get a report going on this aspect.
I also don’t understand your point of one source stating it under aerodynamic being unclear. As the MICA on’y has a boost time of roughly 3.5s, it’s pretty obvious that it reaches those 12km in its gliding phase and can only achieve 30G aerodynamically.
And here comes the holy copium. I don’t know if you have realized, but most reports about the rafale are not made in order to get instant buffs. They are here to report historical inaccuracies, and are mostly passed as suggestion with the hope that they will be actioned at a later date to keep the plane relevant with future addition. France as a air tech tree has been no stranger to that, with the Mirage 2000 and Magic 2 coming highly nerfed/inaccurate, and having dozen of reports actioned in the years since their introduction - to that day there are several significant buffs that could still be actioned.
It’s not the French communities fault the rafale was added so soon/unrealistically. Reports done since then are mostly for historical accuracy and suggestion and not for instant buffs, at least not when it comes to the MICA as of now.
Now, I know you are going to bring the MICA topics created by DirectSupport, while completely disregarding the fact that they were here to create discussion and were not copium threads.
In fact, I barely ever see anyone complaining about the performance of the rafale in game. Yes, there would be QoL reports that could come (but not just to the rafale), mainly about cockpit, HMD… but I just never see anyone complaint about the performances and kit of the plane. It’s always people like you coming and whining about every tiny report made about the rafale that are passed as suggestion, acting as if rafale players were constantly whining about their plane and wanting instant gratification and buffs every other day.
When there isn’t a FeetPic, and MythicPi, or a Morvran (and others) complaining in this thread, you’ll see that barely anyone actually talks abo it the performance of the plane in game, because we all know that it’s most probably the best jet overall by a large margin.
I just follow the data. Rafales only distinguishing achievement IRL is being victimized by Chinese PL-15 and bombing 1970’s era Libyan air defenses. In terms of flight performance it is roughly on par with or slightly better than other 4th generation airframes.
Sooo… f15 achievement is only destroying some 3rd gen and other outdated aircraft and bombing civilians after the US have carpet bombes the entire enemy air defenses with tomahawks, its also nothing special. Got it.
You might try stepping outside of French tech tree bubble. Pretty much everyone that doesn’t have the plane hates fighting against it. Myself and 3 other people were able to basically kill off all of top tier sim by spamming Rafale to every lobby for 3 hours. The game went from 7-8 active lobbies to only 1 active lobby on Denmark.
A lot of players will outright quit sim or make sure Rafale is always on their team because it happens to be so dominant.
Either you are stupid or actively misinterpreting what I am saying. I don’t know which would be worse.
I think I was pretty clear, but I guess ill have to be more precise :
In the rafale thread and reporting community, no one actively complains that the rafale is bad and that it is the reason all of these reports are being made, because everyone knows how dominant it is.
Those reports are, I’ll say again, not for instant gratification of buffs, but historical accuracy reports that are meant to be treated as suggestion for future additions, as other nations are bound to receive better planes and kits, which would keep the rafale competitive.
Who do you think trained the Indian pilots? Pretty sure the training program is part of purchasing a modern jet. And it is not like Pakistan is considered a first rate air force either.
Also by the second point then the Rafale is trash because it lost dogfight to F-18 in training as well.
You missed an important fact here. The Rafales were sent to combat without Meteors. The Rafales. Jets that can carry arguably the best long range missile in service in the world. Were sent to combat Chinese origin jets. Armed with PL-15 long range missiles. Without Meteors. Don’t you see a slight strategical issue right here?
F-15 as an airframe is nothing special in the current day outside of being large enough to be upgraded into AMRAAM carrier with large radar. It’s relevancy is also the same reason Flanker airframe continues to be relevant.
Even when you look at old performance metrics, the Rafale is not far and away superior to the F-15C. It is better at dogfighting but probably similar or worse in BvR relevant metrics.
They were still unsuccessful at penetrating Pakistani air defenses and Pakistani radars were able to correctly identify them, isolate them, and target them. For all of it’s talked up EW capabilities and situational awareness etc…it has not demonstrated capabilities anywhere near that of something like F-35 that put on a clinic of how to disable modern air defense system in Iran.
