Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

Well it depends on what you would call the best then I suppose. For me match impact is what matters most and the Su-30SM2 has more impact on the match than the Rafale because of its kit and radar. I also usually defer to players better than me on what the best is, and some esport players have told me that the Su-30SM2 is better. You also have Bad_Karma stating that the SU-30SM2 is the new top tier king.

Then what changed on the Rafale for it to remain having the same stats despite every tech tree besides the US getting better planes? No buff occurred in the December patch for it. The only factor left when everything else is controlled is the players.

Nothing has to change because it’s by far been the best plane in the game for over a year lmao. Best missiles, top 5 dogfight fm and best AirRB flightmodel, great avionics, etc…

The plane is the peak example of handheld fantasy performance in WT right now.

Meteor should be added alongside PL-15.

I think you’re confused. Gros_Nul is referring to the Rafale’s stats not changing despite better competitions being added, not whether or not it is the best plane in the game.

In fact he may agree with you that the Rafale is still the best plane in the game, but is surprised its stats hasn’t changed despite better competitions being added.

The UAE M2K -9 would be the ideal choice.

Yeah i am surprised that people still don’t learned how to counter it by now, even if it was added over a year ago.
In my opinion, two things can be done to balanced things a bit. You can correct the rafale fm and buff the AIM 120, since it is the most common missile at top tier, buffing it would make keeping the rafale at long range easier.

It’d be functionally identical to the Mirage 2000-5F in game, maybe with 1 or 2 new guided bomb options, and sniper pod. Considering the current 5F battle rating, I don’t see a UAE -9 coming to the game as a premium.

Personally, I’d find much cooler to see the Mirage F1 with MICA, or maybe the mirage 2000 testbed for the rafale, which would have more limited armements but better avionics compared to the -5, maybe at a similar if not slightly lower BR.

Problem is that rafale is a bit of a hard counter in 1v1. It can dodge and notch medium/long range missiles easily, and has the best short/medium range kit.
Only when it gets pressured by one or two su30sm2 does it get « countered » as they can fire a lot more missiles at a singular rafale and preventing it from taking offensive positions, but that’s at the cost of a whole lot of r77-1.
I’d say overall the SU30SM2 has better performances if you are looking for a win, because they can force defensive much more enemies at a time, while the rafale is still the absolute killing machine.

They could remove the air to ground stuff from the 5F.
The Moroccan F.1 would be fie by me as well.

Rafale would be a bad choice.

It’s not about the -5F fake weaponry, it’s more about the current BR of the -5F. The -9 would be at that BR. I just don’t see a (especially French) premium at this BR (yet)

Nah don’t touch the 5F’s loadout. The moroccan F1 would be fine without nerfing anything else

The 5F has fake loadout?

Tbf, with the rafale and 2000D RMV excellents loadouts, I don’t have any issues with removing them from the -5

If they’re fake then sure

Basically all air to ground weaponry yeah. The French -5 is purely an air superiority fighter. Its current ground weapon is that of a mix of the UAE -9 and the French -5 mk2

Ah then yeah they should remove those. I’m against fake loadouts

Unfortunately, they do pretty much what they want with the weapons loadouts; the French Mirage 2000s are among the best examples of invented loadouts in the game. The 2000-5F, which has the loadouts of the 2000-9 and 2000-C, or the 2000D RMV, which has access to AASM missiles.

Their principle of “if the plane is more or less compatible then we add” is a bit silly in my opinion

The Rafale.

Same, that’s the reason why I’d trust MBDA MICA in this very thread when he said that nothing has changed and that the rafale is still the best.

Yep, the recent upgrades others have gotten has closed gaps or even pushed aircraft ahead in certain aspects but none have gotten the universal upgrade or fixes required yet to actually fully close the gap with the Rafale
