Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

I know but irl anti ship missiles are more useful to carrier borne fighters for obvious reasons, so it would kinda go well together thematically. And the only reasons I want it to change to Rafale M are because:

  • the M is cooler imo
  • it won’t be added if they keep the C since it’d be worse
  • it would be an indirect way to nerf the Rafale realistically without making it bad

They always add worse vehicles anyway tbf.

On the other hand the two seater jaguar variant in the French tree was added as an event vehicle. It is possible that a Rafale B could come in the form of an event vehicle in the future

germany also has a trainer version of the Su-22M3 but that is rather the exception and not the norm

i personally wouldnt expect the Rafale B, if gaijin adds a 2 seater rafale it is probably going to be the Rafale M because it isnt the exact same as the Rafale C, but with an extra seat

Rafale M is a single seater like rafale C. It’s just much heavier for carrier landing operations.
Increased structural components, different landing gears, internal ladder…

yes and it adds something over the Rafale C by being carrier capable unlike the Rafale B which would be (for WT) only be a Rafale C with an extra seat

rafale c already has arrestor hook so you can land with it on carriers anyways. and then you get air spawn when respawning in. so there’s no point of adding rafale m

Exocet missile, only Rafale M is integrated with it.

Primary source confirms all three can use it.

eh i guess, but i mean not even su-33 gets its anti shipping missile. i doubt its gonna be added

has rafale b/c ever actually been seen with one?
That’s like saying su-35 should get 8x r-37m just because of primary source states it can be done, even though irl it’s only been seen with 6, imo planes should get loadouts they’ve only actually used.

Primary source states that Exocet is compatible with all three variants but there’s none that state that it was tested/integrated on the B and C afaik. And it could make for an addition with a rather unique loadout (plus having it being a different F variant).

Tested on each variants: yes, since F3 standard

If required, they can be used on C and B models, but the AdAE doesn’t have any AM.39 in it’s inventory.
they would be using SCALP-EG for such mission (or sent/ask the “Aéronavale” to get a Rafale M flying the mission alongside)

basically the same avionic systems are also used for SCALP-EG and ASMP-A

I have not seen anything stating it was tested. Yes it’s possible but nothing confirms it’s been done.

If they add a Rafale M ( I hope before next year) it could be a good opprtunity to add “detailled” model of Charles de Gaulle CV or Foch CV

Ehh not realy, france for all purposes got one of the strongest possible variants.
When they should have gotten the Pesa Rafale first

Would you be able to share sources on that ? I’ve never found confirmation they were tested on my side.

so with the upcoming subtrees mentioned in that cm post, what would be the differences between our rafale vs a greek or malaysian rafale?

@DirectSupport : i may have read that wrongly before,…

but then:

Page 4 - says that every F.3 standards are capable of using AM-39 Excoet,…

but if anyone is close enough to do it:
