Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

I can’t really relate because I’m only at rank 6 air and I don’t play ground, but I think I understand

Damage of Brimstone is also very inconsistent with ERA eating them

So the current Rafale C F3R still has dozens of reports left to be made on its performance in many different aspects however recently some users have criticized the constant bug-reporting of the Rafale being said that it is unnecessary so long as it is the most dominant aircraft in the game for nearly a year. So there will be a poll to determine what will be the next steps. Should more bug-reports continue to be made or should we wait until more competitive aircrafts are added into the game?

  • Wait until more competitive aircrafts are added into the game for other nations and resume afterwards
  • Continue making more bug-reports and let developers decide to implement them

With the current highly performing Rafale, it’d be best to supply the devs with the most accurate reporting and materials, in my opinion. It’s on the devs to implement that, and they can (likely will, I think) sit on those materials and implementations until better, more competitive threats are added or improved (EF2000).

They can more or less isolate the performance variable of Rafale to have a baseline of “okay here is the strongest so we have to add something at least this good in order to fight it on a level playing field” and better plan future systems and aircraft implementation.

I’m sure some people will rather have any negative performance corrections added immediately and then Rafale left to slowly become obsolete when new stronger threats are added as “punishment for being too strong” when released.

Either option is going to lead to tears and gnashing of teeth but only one gives Gaijin ideas on what next to market with.

No matter what they do, I think the Rafale F.3R can only really be balanced after we get newer jets with late ir missiles. Because then it will go far up and they can add an earlier Rafale that won’t be broken at this br

According to a primary source found by Mulatu, the Rafale B (twin-seater) should weigh 360kg more than the Rafale C. Since it is a twin-seater, you can add another 80kg (pilot) for an aircraft that will effectively be 440kg more than the current Rafale C. Rafale B’s flight performance should be around the performance of the previous Rafale C before the weight reduction.

Still gonna take any source of that guy with a massive grain of salt.
Someone known to wrongly and neforiously interpret sources is not exactly good source himself

is there a rafale with more countermeasures? and why is the mica only 50 km lmao, pls explain I know this has been asked but is there a recap or something

only if u want more, normal calibre ones. i forgot the exact number, i would bet @WreckingAres283 or @DirectSupport knows

Kinda yes but kinda no. We can get more countermeasures if they ever implement modular countermeasures since the 16 large-caliber flares currently on the Rafale can be exchanged for 36 small-caliber flares for 72 small-caliber flares in total. But this would depend on implementing modular countermeasures and a lot of planes in-game would benefit from it. The 112 fixed chaff cannot be changed.

No clue where they got 50km from.

i mean, look at the recent implementation of the new spaas, nearly all wrong range wise / capability wise

I wonder if they have a practice of saying, “okay some sources state this range, so let’s implement it into the game with 80% of said range, and wait for people to submit sources”, as a way of conservatively implementing missiles.

I could salt my dishes for the rest of my life with the amount of salt I’ve seen in the past year

I’d add, the French air force uses 60% Rafale B and 40% Rafale C so having the Rafale B instead if the Rafale C would be very legit. Alternatively the Rafale M would’ve made sense (it’s not too late either)

i think that smin or someone made a statment before, that they dotn like adding two seaters if there is a single seater option, due to them not really having any purpose in WT

so highly unlikely that the rafale b will be added, rafale m would be more likely since it is carrier capable

True, also pretty sure the Rafale M is as heavy as the B if not heavier so would be a fine option as well. And it can get carrier spawn in the far future when we’ll finally get that.
Also if they ever change the current Rafale to M variant it’ll be a good opportunity to add stuff like the Exocet

Rafale M is the heaviest of all.

There is no reason to change the current model?

All thee Rafale can carry Exocet, its not exclusive to Marine standards.

I know but irl anti ship missiles are more useful to carrier borne fighters for obvious reasons, so it would kinda go well together thematically. And the only reasons I want it to change to Rafale M are because:

  • the M is cooler imo
  • it won’t be added if they keep the C since it’d be worse
  • it would be an indirect way to nerf the Rafale realistically without making it bad

They always add worse vehicles anyway tbf.

On the other hand the two seater jaguar variant in the French tree was added as an event vehicle. It is possible that a Rafale B could come in the form of an event vehicle in the future
