Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

MICA is more underperforming than anything else really

Every ARH is underperforming significantly, but only one hasnt got a placeholder seeker

i agree

but in this case other ARHs should be buffed, not the other way around

ARH seekers are already useless enough as is X)

But that’s kinda the point.

Rafale is getting buffs, other aircraft are not.

Heck, another update without top tier aircraft for the nations missing them.

MICA EM got massive buffs multiple times this year. There are still reports from the fox3 play test that haven’t been fixed yet for other ARH.

This is the problem. It’s not that the Rafale is some how “better than everything else” as some keep claiming. It’s that nothing else is being kept onto parity

I’m just gonna leave this up here again.

The interesting thing is that the Phoenix also got that seeker buff (unless I’m somehow miss remembering it ?).
There has also been a report for the 120C, but for some reason it was removed when in dev server, which I still don’t understand.
As for other seekers, everyone complains about them, but were there any reports on them ?

Roll stabilization now here for the Rafale

That’s a nice one.

What does the speed gate mean

I’d have to double check but I suppose will be harder to pick up missiles on radar. This is just a guess.

What’s interesting about this is how long the Rafale is gonna stay relevant in top tier, even after further decompression, after others nations get better aircrafts and that without the need or a newer Rafale

Rafale should have a little bit more fuel // Gaijin.net // Issues

Doesn’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things. This is showing the Rafale is missing 60kg of fuel, just for a bit of accuracy.

It would also mean we will not get anything new for a while because we got a way too late variant, way too soon, we would have been fine with any early Rafale, from F.1 to F.3.

We could have got a Rafale M F.1 in december 2024, then in June 2025 a C F3, with still the PESA RBE2 and 6 MICA, but with A2G… Then we could have got a Rafale F4 with everything we have in the current one + AASM 1000, for something like december 2025. This would have been smoother, and not making us bored to death because the Rafale got speedran into the latest variant from the begining.

wait you’re allowed to use datamined values for reports? I purposely left out the current f-16I empty weight in my report on it cause I thought it wasn’t allowed?

I 100% agree with that, adding the F3R in December was a very stupid choice. It should’ve come with meteors when needed
The F.1 and F.3 would’ve been way more balanced as well

That would be really good, because currently I’ve been playing Rafale C using solid radar lock against BVR targets, otherwise my TWS would automatically switch onto enemy missiles and guide my MICAs at them.

BTW, Rafale C is great at BVR, just fire at 40 km max, alt 10000m+ and speeds above 1800 TAS. Loft to 15 degree and fire at headon F-15Es. Missiles are almost hypersonic, so you don’t have to keep radar lock on for too long before they self home.

Relevant bug report for the upcoming Rafale weight reduction. Maybe the weight reduction is too much? The Rafale’s Weight Reduction on DEV May Contain Inconsistencies // Gaijin.net // Issues

Except you’d need missiles to exceed 1600m/s to be ignored by 0-1600m/s speed gate the way I understand it.

And short of air launching SAMP-T, IRIS-T SLM or Buk, its unlikely to happen.

Yeah that report was going nowhere. TM asked Directsupport if the presence of ammo could be confirmed when report was passed, but he misunderstood the French source (talked about showcasing a gun pass, not making an actual gun pass), so the presence of ammo was removed internally.
