At least the HMCS is kinda working again.

Yet radar still lacks in range department.

this patch doesn’t contain any 20% energy retention or AOA buffs. sad

AASM-IR (SBU-64) should only be LOAL // Gaijin.net // Issues

New Suggestion

i wasnt to sure where to post this but since its related to French aviation i figured this would be the best place to ask.

Is anyone who knows french HMD systems able confirm this is the Thales TopSight-E that is being worn by the pilot in this picture like its being claimed by media?

I’m no expert either, but it looks like it

They cleaned up this thread and deleted today’s whole conversation @Fireball_2020

We found the installed thrust value, we found the uninstalled thrust chart, but we never found an uninstalled thrust value that deviated from the rounded value given typically in brochures.

The weight also in the pamphlet is the generic 10,000kg number converted to pounds. Yet in game Rafale is a good bit lighter than it.

Because that is typical when it is a fact sheet discussing all 3 variants of the Rafale with the Rafale M being over the the 10,000kg and the other two variants being below 10,000kg. It is also the same weight value given on Dassault’s site.

Post revised before submission to comply with rules as initially intended

Recently a faulty report was passed.

Rafale supercruise incorrect // Gaijin.net // Issues

While certain advocates of this report are right that the Rafale is overperforming in high altitude-high speed, advocates of this report are banking on the developers nerfing the supercruise as a roundabout way to achieve this even though nerfing the supercruise is incorrect.

  • The report says that a prototype Rafale achieved Mach 1.2 supercruise in flight once, so that must be its maximum supercruise even though the source material itself did not claim that was the maximum supercruise, just what it had done.

  • The report claims with secondary sources that in order to achieve the Mach 1.4 supercruise, the Rafale requires better engines (M88-3).

  • Primary sources state that the Rafale A with M88-2 achieved Mach 1.4, primary sources also state that the production Rafales are capable of supercruise Mach 1.4.

For every single other aircraft in-game. The go-to choice for Gaijin has been “model some of it accurately and everything we cant because “reasons” and so is bodged to be underperforming”

This is what has happened with the Tornado for example. has waaaaay too much drag and cant even get close to its top speed anymore. But this is acceptable to Gaijin. I can think of a similar instances of this “bodge it until it kinda works” attitude for aircraft like the Harrier and Typhoon, resulting in some aspect being modeled somewhat accurately but at the cost of others.

For the Rafale, they threw that entirely and completely out the window and instead just allowed the Rafale to have insane post supersonic acceleration and next to no drag in order for it to achieve certain aspects of its modeled, like supercruise speed. This I think is quite frankly unfair.

In an ideal world, the FMs would be accurate accross all points. But this is war thunder, so I think the Rafale continuing to be practically dragless at high alt and high speed, when every other aircraft hits a giant reinforced concrete wall of drag, is just unfair and if that means the Rafale has to loose a bit of SC speed in the process, then I think that is fine and is waaaay more balanced than what is going on at the moment

More Rafale f5 in the work for UAE.

And soon (300km ?) ballistic missile for Rafale.

The typical fact sheet that can’t even list consistent engine thrust values?

Yeah. It’s called opening envelope in test flights. Also, in '90 we’re talking about pre_Black Knight (C01) prototype, although even the BK isn’t representative in terms of performances as it isn’t combat coded like actual line fighters. It’s lighter.

primary sources also state that the production Rafales are capable of supercruise Mach 1.4.

Where?
I’m seeing “AVEC Post-Combustion”, but no “SANS Post-Combustion”.

Reminds me of the concept of Khinzal carried by the Foxhound, but on a platform as good as the rafale, that’s quite interesting.

I don’t understand french, but is there a weight listed? (For the missile) Couldn’t find it with AI translator.

I think it is inferred, it reaches M1.4, and then in a subsequent month after burning is tested for the first time.

Now thats indeed interesting
