I also think that’s reasonable. At the moment, the only aircraft I see needing more capable ARH missiles to compete with the phoon are the JAS-39s and maybe the Su-27. I would say the J-11 as well but of course the J-10 is here now. Though I do have to wonder what IR missiles they will give it- PL-8A/B is the only IRCCM missile that it carries that isn’t a dual band or IIR system. They could go the AAM-3 route and give PL-5E-II or PL-9C the wrong system, but idk.

JAS 39 would compete fine with EFT if they give us the E, and it would hold well into the EFTs upgrades, provided missiles are kept on parity.

I doubt IIR will actually be all that strong, about what Aim-9L or Aim-9M were like IRL I reckon.
the benchmark should be what the US has. Typhoon with Aim-120Bs vs F-15E with Aim-120C5s would be a really annoying fight.

Switzerland adds almlost nothing of use in that term though.
Germany mostly lacks CAS and the Swiss F-18 has literally 0 CAS ability.
The Hunter was useful, an F-5E might be but nobody needs another Hornet, Vampire or P-51.
IIR is found on the TY-90, Mistral, and Strelas (though the Strelas are pretty poorly modelled), while the Stingers are dual-band. Pretty much all IR SAMs and heli-only missiles are one or the other, just I don’t remember which for most of them lol
In-game both systems are underperforming because they are simply a combination of FoV gating (like .1 degrees) and seeker shutoff, with a low flare detection range. Even so, they are massively more powerful than other AAMs.
And yeah, the PL-12 and AAM-4 are underperforming

There have been zero missiles and zero aircraft artificially nerfed.
There have been implementations they thought were accurate that later discovered weren’t accurate.
PL-12 is AIM-120B equivalent.
Gripen came into the game over-performing.
Im still doubting things like ASRAAM will be any where near their flare resistance IRL. They’ll be good upgrades over what we’ve got. But more so their range and turn performance and speed. It is a game after all.
It helps in arb. Have more top tiers than just the typhoon would be nice.

Technically yea, we (JP / ASEAN Community) work on getting the AAM-4 fixed. Some Sources showed us that it at least seems to be quite more advanced than first expected; which also explains its insanly high OPSEC, though nothing is set in stone yet and I can’t tell more than that, too early to talk about it.

It’s a better AMRAAM carrier than the ICE because it has SOME flight performance for higher BRs but that’s about it afaik
P-16 is fine, I think it’s a cool design. Call it lame all you want but it isn’t. Swiss F-5E would be lame cause it’s not a unique vehicle, it’s a vehicle they simply bought and serviced. Nothing really special.
F-111C for sure most likely, you can see the tail number A8-127 which comes back to an australian F-111C, unless it comes to the US rather than them getting the 111F or their own 111C
