doesn’t it have 6 engines
Dutch never had P5’s
With P3 I meant whatever the regular version is we have in game.
They test with 6x P but this was before there were P5’s.
Operationally only 4x and Dutch had L’s during the end of it’s lifetime so I figure it’ll get between
4 and 6 regular 9P’s
OR
4 9L’s
Also had a weird bomb rail that had rocket launchers IN the rail. Funky. So bombs and rockets on centre hardpoint at the same time.
Maybe that addition caused the delay? Dunno.
6?
where?
wtf. I want it.
did it have weaponry?
the US always stop foreign sales of superior vehicles
just look at how Belgium and the Netherlands bought F-35s instead of EF and Rafale
I wish we stayed with European aircraft.
Having said that…The F-35 is super cool, and insanely powerful.
We got them for pretty much Gripen prices since we got onboard early.
Or japans indigenous fighter before the F-2
it was plannwd to get AiM-9F (B FGW.2 in game) and a Gun iirc
basically what a Starfighter had
but it wasn’t armed because the thing got cancelled and sadly German Air developments only get armed in the very last second
But now USA see everything you do with their plane (if you stick a new tech to their plane they gonna have access to it), you need each day a new code from them to starting the plane, and the day you don’t agree with them, it’s just a bunch of non-flying metal in the hangar.
The former was combat capable, and the latter was planned to be.
Neither were ever planned to be combat capable.
They are not in the same situation.
not even metal
just composite
If the EAP has been accepted it would have been combat capable…
it was the first supersonic vtol despite gaijin claiming it to be the yak141.
Still should be ingame. But till now i couldn’t find drawings where the weapons would be
The EAP was a tech demo, and absolutely nothing else. It was never under any circumstances planned for service.
who brought you here today?
Exactly. One of the reasons why I’d wish we got European fighters.
Also an economic reason. It’s true we got them for nearly Gripen prices but if we got ANYTHING European then the money would’ve stayed closer to home.
A little bit the reason why importing in general is not preferred in economies. From a Dutch perspective it would’ve been an import but from a European one it would’ve been a domestic thing. In the big picture the economies are so intertwined that an import from the US is not the same as an import from another EU country.
accepted ?
You mean passed to dev?
Saddly a vehicle passed to dev mean nothing at all. It can come next update, 4 years later, or never.
It just mean Dev are aware this thing exist, globally.
idk if they got that far
like I said the Germans only ever arm their stuff in the last second
same story with the Striker from the same time, VAK 191
