Im asking when the damage models will be fixed because im really tired of especially t80 series taking apfsds from side and taking no damage .
This happens everyday like 10 times instead of working on a infantry can we get war thunder out of beta :)

pretty sure most of the spall got absorbed by the fuel tank, bad luck
The fuel tanks on the T-series are strong, often eating all spall or just straight up eating the APFSDS round.
Also funny how the autoloader created 0 spall

The Gaijin went a bit overboard with the spall liner. The Gaijin’s love for Russian technology is boundless.

It doesnt even have a spall liner.
This is just the classic case of modules acting as spall-absorbers (liners would decrease the spall-cone’s angle, these modules just remove spall entirely and dont spall themselves) - there is also a hidden 2mm structural steel plate around and below the autoloader which you can barely see in the clip but it’s easily visible when using e.g. nvidia ansel. And no, of course it doesnt spall either.
On a side-note, the turret-baskets on Leopard 1 and Abrams do create secondary spall and if struck, its almost guarantees that the entire turret crew dies.

This is also a perfect example of how the damagemodel is deceiving…
On e.g. Abrams or leopard, the red parts are part of the DM…
(Applies to every T-80, T-64, T-72 and T-90 variant)
