In a ground arcade battle today I attempted to use my KV-1S for a 2nd time after dying once.
My KV has 2 vehicle backups, so at this point I wanted to use the vehicle backup and not the daily backup (which I prefer to save for vehicles that don’t have their own backup).
But the game defaulted to the daily backup and gave me no option to choose.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Exactly the same in Ground RB, you have a vehicle with a backup, want to respawn but it will spend a daily backup… why? What’s even the point to have vehicle backups, or daily backups, if can’t choose between them?
Had no Problem to choose between daily backup and the other one from WB shop
Have you tried to use a backup assigned to a specific vehicle?
Or just one of the universal backups?
Universal back ups, since this we have this feature I have no dedicate back ups on tanks anymore
You can assign universal backups as dedicated vehicle backups.
As for OP, and what @Nowomowa said, yah I had the same issue as well. If my vehicle has a dedicated backup, I’m not able to choose it I am forced to use a daily backup. However if my vehicle doesn’t have a dedicated backup, I can pick the daily or universal backup. Kind of backwards tbh.
I know this, but why should I do this??? With universal one I can use it when needed
Doesn’t makes much sense, vehicle-dedicated backups are more restricted than nation universal backups, which are more restricted than universal backups, which are more restricted than the daily backup, why should we be forced to use the cheapest (=less restricted) option?
Oh yeah I have this issue too. Gaijin needs to work this out

Yes, 5 each day, but you can’t collect them for the next day

You only get 5 every day. If you don’t use them, they’ll be gone by the next day…
Yes, you can use up to 5 each 24 hours but they’re broken and you must spend one even if the vehicle has vechicle-locked backups. Which makes no sense since the whole point is to don’t 1-death quit if you’re FUBARed within 20 seconds of spawning, if your vehicle haves a vehicle backup you’ll just use it and will save a daily backup for another vehicle you’re grinding and doesn’t haves a vehicle backup, or you don’t have universal backups, or nation-locked universal backups… spending first the more restricted bonus is what anyone with a pulse does in a F2P.
As is working (or is broken) now, makes no sense at all unless someone over there in Gaijin is so wet between the ears that thinks that gamers will pay Gaijin for backups if we run out of freebies and are left without purchasable / randomized ones.
Memo: no effin way. Forcing players to use freebies when they got paid for/randomized backups will not increase sales, will cause gamers to think Gaijin is stupid and has implemented a broken feature, either as in code bug or as PEBCAK (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard).
Yesterday I 1-death quitted twice after not being able to use a vehicle backup instead of a freebie. I’ve got better things to do with freebies than wasting them in vehicles loaded to the brim with locked backups I can’t use anywhere else…
yes but sometimes one gets some vehicle-specific backups after a match
I assume this is a bug - actually there seems to be no report for this, I will create one tomorrow (my today dailys are all used so I can’t create a screenshot about the issue)

i’ve encountered issues with this. like during the sale i got the T-29, it will force me to use a daily backup instead of one of the backups that came with the pack in ground rb.
