Aren’t those Polish though?
There is still possibility of mixing Czechoslovakian and Polan together for a new TT
Well, the chassis is modified Czech Patriot II for Polish service. Plus it has Tatra suspension and a Tatra motor.
Yeah there still is
I would like to add some information regarding the BTR-50PK with Volant ATGM mentioned above.
Game relevant facts:
- The vehicle was tested in 1960
- Was equipped with 8 indigenously designed Volant ATGMs
- The ATGM had a maximum range of 2 km
- The targeted penetration was 400 mm of armour at 30 degrees
- The speed of the missile was 80 meters per second
- The missile was wire-guided MCLOS (key-guided in the game)
- The missile was launched at a 30-degree angle
- The missile had 2 types of tracers (the first 1000 meters the tracer was white and then a red tracer with a diameter of 17 mm was activated)
Visualisation:
This is a visualisation of Volant ATGM in the game based on the gathered information:
More historical information:
The development was accompanied by many problems including penetration, range, bad temperature tolerance, and other technical problems. This was caused by this being the first indigenous ATGM developed in Czechoslovakia. The missiles were also tested in the USSR in 1960. The whole project was cancelled at the end of 1960. After the cancellation, other indigenous designs were developed including PROTAS and MOTÝL. None of these missiles were adopted by the Czechoslovak army. The first adopted missile ended up being the 9K11 Malyutka.
Pictures of the vehicle and the ATGM:
One surviving missile is located in the Military Technical Museum Lešany

Edit:
Added more pictures.
Fixed the vehicle designation.
Thanks for sharing these very interesting informations! Didnt actually know most of the stuff about it (my only source was a picture from some book ive found on the net, so i couldve only guess the characteristics of the vehicle, including ATGM used). After learning more about it thanks to you, i think that this will actually be the worst ATGM carrier in the whole game, having even slower flight speed and penetration than TYPE 60 ATM with just 200m longer max range :D. I think i will lower its BR to 6.3 or 6.7 in the future (7.3 is a bit too for it with the Japanese Type 60 ATM and Israeli Zachlam Tager being 6.7)
Now…im just wondering if it would be key guided or mouse guided.
You are welcome. I am glad to share the details so this unique project will not be forgotten. The information about this project is nearly non-existent on the internet, even on the Czech or Slovak websites. This was one of the very few indigenous ATGMs in the Warsaw Pact from that time frame.
I also imagine it as a slightly worse type 60 but the high amount of ready-to-fire missiles would be a nice benefit. Also, BTR-50PK is an amphibious platform (but it has almost no gameplay impact).
The source also mentions further reading on the topic for anyone who would be interested:
VHA, MNO 1955-1963; F. Ludvík, Raketové zbraně, in: Zbrojní technika v Československu ve 20. století, Národní technické muzeum, Praha 2005
Edit:
I recently bought Zbrojní technika v Československu ve 20. století so maybe I will find even more details on this topic.
It was an MCLOS missile, therefore I am certain that it would be key-guided.
Hello there. Today Is a 2nd anniversary of warthunderczechoslovakia, and for this special occasion i have prepared a special - trailer/teaser for the Czechoslovak armed forces. The teaser Is meant to show some possible additions into the Czechoslovak techtree (only had to use the the vehicles that are already in-game for obvious reasons) and to support the idea of Czechoslovak techtree on my social platforms.
Hope you will like it :)
Amazing trailer you did. All it need it our domestic vehicle. And for us to hope that one day we will see Czechoslovakia as a separate TT or even in combination with Poland. Because i dont want to see out beautiful vehicles in that TT. Already need to suffer watching Praga Ještěrka and Moderna being in there.
Was browning google images and this interesting things pop out on me. Sadly i dont own the boon, but i think it could be interesting to look into
There are some photos from the book on the web but if the descriptions are correct then it’s only a small bit of the whole thing.
Ohh interesting…im thinking about buying few books. There is also a one of Czechoslovakia tank power from 1945- 1992.
And then there is a Czechoslovak armored fighting vehicles 1918-1948
I think those two are a lot better options than that first book. They seem a lot more interesting.
Some Czechnicals
Tatra 815 SOT (basically uparmored T-815 Terra) armed with 1x Dshk, 1x AGS-17 and 2x PKB or mk48
Tatra 815 with added KS-19 100mm anti-aircraft gun for shooting down drones
Toyota Hilux SCV (Special Combat Vehicle)
(armored?) Toyota Hilux with PKM and Dshk or AGS-17
The only realistic addition would be the anti-aircraft one, the other two would be meme vehicles
Looks nice. Ive found some more info about it and it seems like the tank was later modified even more, creating T-72MP in the end (which is already in my proposal BTW. I think i could name this one T-72MP ,early" and the one already in in the tree T-72MP ,late"). Anyway, It will make a nice addition into the proposal.
