Duh, US started as UK colonies, thats clearly a historical link /s
Cant aargue with that, tho the reason ITALY tech tree got the USSR COLD WAR ERA tanks is because NOW they have some connections to hungary, and had them during the WW2. So its neither better option nor logical. Applying the same logic, SOMETIME AGO AT COLD WAR USSR had an ally Chech, which tanks it can recieve because that.
Well, they at least get the techs that they used in THEIR FRIEND`s tree. And not an opposing force tree.
Well USA was a territory of Britain and they are both NATO members (among many other treaties) so using the same logic applied to India going into the UK tree… also all EU nations that where occupied by Nazi Germany must be German subtrees!
I dont recall anyone opposing general placement of hungarian and romanian subtrees within italy.
And thus, they simply get EXPORT versions of soviet equipment (hell, IIRC their T-72M1s were manufactures in czechoslovakia) they historically used.
“Ally” is a strong word for being effectively occupied.
No.
Ahhh yeah… I was agreeing with you…
India was added to UK based on an occupation that ended in the 60s while the Commonwealth realms are kept out of the UK tree for “reasons” so the Canadians and us Aussies get our stuff tossed all over the place
Of course what I am gonna say is not related to this topic, but I hate the fact that some nations like Australia and Canada have their stuff dispersed across multiple TTs
And that might also be the case for nations like Cz/Sk as they have both Western and Eastern tech in their arsenal, and because they have no defined place in some TT, their stuff is likely to be placed around the rest of the TTs
Agreed. Sorry if we had a misunderstanding, I was just rolling with your joke about the US going in the UK tree, but apparently stuck my foot in my mouth in the attempt.
But they do need a better way to handle sub-trees, the current method just upsets everybody.
No one opposed the syrian, egyptian, or belarusian vehicles to USSR either
Its export stuff. Same as 2A4 going to every country that uses it instead of being exclusiveky german vehicle.
Interesting way to put things.
No because theres no logical reason. Theres no connection beyond shaky historical connection at best.

For any questions about your own moderation on your own messages feel free to PM.
some people including me would have prefered Spain rather than Hungary and Romania
Then such ragebait topics shouldnt be even allowed.
Well then maybe delete the messages trying to frame soviet occupation of eastern europe as some type of happy, mutual friendship if you dont want this thread to devolve into politics
We’ll deal with messages if those are against the guidelines. There’s no need to press us to do so.
This topic is the OP’s opinion and the chance to talk about the 2A8, it’s not against the guidelines to have an opinion is it? (it doesn’t offend anyone).
I’ve mostly seen people being upset with Hungary joining the Italy because it would be one of the cornerstones of Visegrad group TT (HU/PL/CZ/SK), and this way we are left with CZ/SK/PL (which is fine anyway)
But yeah, I can see keeping Romania as sub-tree for Italy because Romanians have more modified and domestic post-WW2/cold war tech in both air and ground to make up for a really great sub-tree. It is just that Gaijin mostly relies on C&P where it can be placed in order to save resources and time
It offends me. But oh well since its due to historical reasons, its okay to do so.
So these qoutes are apolitical and fine but pointing to how that "alliance" really was is not? Good to know
Mind you that by asking to respect the rules we’re not endorsing in any way any thread. IMHO this is a bad idea as it would further make TT’s identities mixed, which again IMHO is not good for the game.
Whether these messages are against the guidelines or not (I’ll look now), may I remind you that you can flag them so that we can spot them more easily… it’s the entire point of the flag function.
Of course not, because all of them are just USSR vehicles at best. And even then the Egyptan M4 FL10 fell to France as developer, not the USSR. Because there is no logic in applying nations, devs do it as they please judging every single machine by itself
aha, but 2a4 never went to USA (2AV is STILL german even if it was proposed to US and was practically an abrams prototype) or USSR, tho many of “warsaw pact” use the 2a4s. Finland went to Sweden for some reason, Hungary went to Italy, Estonia does not exist still but unlikely going to USSSR aswell, ect.
Exactly! No logical reason behind giving out the USSR techs to any other tech tree except “well uuuuuuuh”, and same with the nato standart tanks going to USSR except for several machines of “test drives”. But that logic exists ingame! I didnt implement it, the devs did.
beyond 40 years of being allies, of course. Being an ally of italy in 1941-1944 is a much better bet, uhu.
