So with the recent announcement of the German and Norway Leopard 2A8, you may ask who eles can get one?
of course there is France / BeNeLux with the Dutch Leopard 2A8. But there is also Czech who have purchased 61 Leopard 2A8 tanks.
Although some may argue that Czechoslovakia isn’t a USSR sub-tree the reality is that is where the Czechoslovakia vehicles have gone. And just because Gajin say no now, doesn’t mean they wont in the future
This is the first time in my life that I have seen such a ridiculous forum topic. Leopard 2a8 is a tank that is not in the game and you want it in the Soviet tree.
That is likely to be the case, but personally I would definitely prefer not, in order to preserve the uniqueness of the new top tier. I don’t even play Germany anymore, so this is not coming from the perspective of a German main. I feel like the France will still have the newer Leclerc to be added, and Sweden will have their own heavy leopard.
But it does need competitive tanks. Not the t-90 trash boxes. And as soon as “X need to get tanks for lineups” or “full experience” its always something from USSR that is being added because some small spot on world`s face used (hello finland, Germany, hungary) or intended to use something from USSR (hello oplot-p and 80U). Thats ridiculous logic applied.
No, i equate tanks that were added for balance and lineups (or whatever “full experience” is for those devs) to tanks that are needed for balance and lineups.
“Historically used” ussr techs in Hungary - is when the Hungary was the ally, therefore, must be a subtree of USSR as GDR is a subtree of germany, if you want to go that way. Tho they dont offer anything unique so should not even exist in game in the first place, but that`s the next question in line
Hungary getting tanks hungary used during cold war is not the same as russia hypothetically getting czech leopards 2A8s which have no connection to russia and whats more, were bought to deter russia.
Thats geniunely stupid.
UK used US tech during WW2, does that qualify UK for subtree of US?
