Czech Leopard 2A8 for USSR

Nope. It will be added to multiple others, especially those who get Norway and the other order customers.

With the state of Germany at the moment, they only hitch a ride on other nations who order their tanks.

That is likely to be the case, but personally I would definitely prefer not, in order to preserve the uniqueness of the new top tier. I don’t even play Germany anymore, so this is not coming from the perspective of a German main. I feel like the France will still have the newer Leclerc to be added, and Sweden will have their own heavy leopard.

ATP, just give china the f22 bc why not…

YES please we need it

The USSR mains claiming stuff from Czech is nothing new lmao Gripwn AH64 ect ect lol, its your standard cope and baut from them lol

USSR should be named Russia. Or its going to be a coalition tree.

I will not get perma banned over such basic ragebait.

I would rather never see czech vehicles at all in warthunder than see them as subtree to USSR.

Also USSR doesnt need leopards. No need to kill TT identity further.

But it does need competitive tanks. Not the t-90 trash boxes. And as soon as “X need to get tanks for lineups” or “full experience” its always something from USSR that is being added because some small spot on world`s face used (hello finland, Germany, hungary) or intended to use something from USSR (hello oplot-p and 80U). Thats ridiculous logic applied.

You are equating countries getting vehicles they HISTORICALLY used with need for competetive tanks.

Thats false equivalency.

“both”?

No, i equate tanks that were added for balance and lineups (or whatever “full experience” is for those devs) to tanks that are needed for balance and lineups.
“Historically used” ussr techs in Hungary - is when the Hungary was the ally, therefore, must be a subtree of USSR as GDR is a subtree of germany, if you want to go that way. Tho they dont offer anything unique so should not even exist in game in the first place, but that`s the next question in line

Hungary getting tanks hungary used during cold war is not the same as russia hypothetically getting czech leopards 2A8s which have no connection to russia and whats more, were bought to deter russia.

Thats geniunely stupid.

UK used US tech during WW2, does that qualify UK for subtree of US?

Of course. But it would be rather the other way around, the US to UK for historical reasons (my beloved speculative topic when it comes to WT ❤️)

Moreover, both speak English, thus it is 100% justified

Duh, US started as UK colonies, thats clearly a historical link /s

Cant aargue with that, tho the reason ITALY tech tree got the USSR COLD WAR ERA tanks is because NOW they have some connections to hungary, and had them during the WW2. So its neither better option nor logical. Applying the same logic, SOMETIME AGO AT COLD WAR USSR had an ally Chech, which tanks it can recieve because that.

Well, they at least get the techs that they used in THEIR FRIEND`s tree. And not an opposing force tree.

Well USA was a territory of Britain and they are both NATO members (among many other treaties) so using the same logic applied to India going into the UK tree… also all EU nations that where occupied by Nazi Germany must be German subtrees!

I dont recall anyone opposing general placement of hungarian and romanian subtrees within italy.

And thus, they simply get EXPORT versions of soviet equipment (hell, IIRC their T-72M1s were manufactures in czechoslovakia) they historically used.

“Ally” is a strong word for being effectively occupied.

No.

Ahhh yeah… I was agreeing with you…
India was added to UK based on an occupation that ended in the 60s while the Commonwealth realms are kept out of the UK tree for “reasons” so the Canadians and us Aussies get our stuff tossed all over the place

Of course what I am gonna say is not related to this topic, but I hate the fact that some nations like Australia and Canada have their stuff dispersed across multiple TTs

And that might also be the case for nations like Cz/Sk as they have both Western and Eastern tech in their arsenal, and because they have no defined place in some TT, their stuff is likely to be placed around the rest of the TTs

Agreed. Sorry if we had a misunderstanding, I was just rolling with your joke about the US going in the UK tree, but apparently stuck my foot in my mouth in the attempt.
But they do need a better way to handle sub-trees, the current method just upsets everybody.
